People always say punish the guilty, but very few are concerned to clear the innocent..Our judicial systems, since it is run by humans, is not infallible. A great many injustices has been done towards the innocent over the years. This is a sad thing but it cannot be helped. Collateral damage. I am for the death penalty, though I cannot in all honesty say that our argument is sound. You see, we cannot actually determine it's deterrent capacity because we will never know how many lives were actually saved because people fear that particular punishment.

I heard a story once and it went like this:
a young american boy was visiting in a foriegn country (i don't remember the reason why he was there) but he put some grafitti on a wall. The punishment in that country was to remove the hand of the criminal. The child had grown up in a society that would have just smacked the back of his hand to punish him for that crime.
IF the child had known of the punishment of that crime, and known it to be true, he would not have taken those actions, for fear of the reprocussions.

lifetime conviction is the best, no special pardon, juz let them rot in jail.
But the most important is the justice system, some countries have rotten justice system where the rich can easily get away from their crimes

im gonna make my answer really short.

not a single person has the right to kill another. no matter what a person does to me, im in no jurisdiction to kill him even though I CAN. and what if the culprit is REALLY innocent? killing a convict who's innocent doesnt make sense. im a rape victim, but i dont even think about hurting the guy.

I am against the death penalty. It doesn't correct any mistakes and certainly doesn't bring people back to life.

The criminal can have a quick death, while the victims have to deal with the consequences.

I.... Don't totally agree or disagree on that. However, we have times where people repent for their sins. When they put you in jail for a period of time. At those time, you would think over your past action and regret. Generally, when you do regret, you would try not to let those action happen again. So why aren't we letting those people, rapist, murderer, or w/e, to have a chance to repent. I know you might say, some won't even bother thinking about it, then i don't care, kill them off and do what ever you wanna do with them. Cause they're the human rubbish@

i don't think there should be a death penalty i think that the people who do wrong will be dealt with whether that be here on this earth or in an afterlife i don't believe that we should take away someones life. In the UK there is no death penalty which i think is a good decision

If your christian and worried that innocent people with be convicted and killed, don't worry. god will handle those situations on his end and they, like us all, will get what they deserve.

will this apply to them killing your mother?

i don't get the point of lethal injenction's. if someone has killed someone they need to die the same way the person they killed died
