Do you cry when you are at funerals?
Posted 1/6/09 , edited 1/6/09
No, not really. But I feel like crying when my other family members are crying... A few months ago, I went to a funeral and after my brother saw the body and he started crying. He didn't even know the person... He was hiding behind my mom after he started crying. I was like, "Awww. It almost makes me want to cry, too..." because I hate seeing family members cry...

hm...I've only been to one,and we weren't really related to family, since it was my cousin's in law's mom?
plus it depends...who they are,and if there close to you or not..

Yeah, I 've been to three. My godfather's, my uncle's and my grandfather's.

My godfather's and my uncle's were when I was in 2nd and 3rd grade respectively. I didn't cry then because I guess I didn't fully grasp the finality behind what was happening.

My grandfather however, died when I was a junior in high school. I cried a lot then.

i have only been to funerals two times, my grandfather and then a year later my grandmother, didn't cry at both funerals. i wanted to,but i usually think differently from my other family members, such as "they all will be happier there then here" kinda of thinking.

The last 2 funerals I cried my eyes out. The most recent one is my uncle. We were very close. My cousin gave a very heartfelt speech in church and it just brought back all these memories of him. I couldn't stop crying. The latter was another uncle whom my family is very close to as well. After everyone threw their roses and said their goodbyes my cousin ran up to the coffin and just laid on it crying her eyes out. Wow that was a moment I can never forget, I was probably crying just as much as she was.

i've never attended one, but i don't think i would cry, since i rarely do; i'd probably just be really really sad.
