Hmm, first time I've seen that, thank you for providing the info. -facepalm-

Hmm, so that's what my friend meant o.O. A friend of mine is trying to fix up the bad quality fansubs by the companies, or something. Though the number of members on CR that know Japanese, and are willing to spend time to sub tens or maybe hundreds of anime episodes........aren't that many I'd say

But there are those internet fansub groups, so here's a chance for them to show their stuffs legally. I would do this myself, but my focus has shifted from just fansubbing anime, to appreciating, advocating, and understanding the anime subculture.

So you are telling me you want the Fansubbers that CR has backstabbed to help with the shitty subs done by the companies while be grateful for the opportunity? are u fucking kidding me?

I can't agree more with you on this one, this atleast for just an example "Dattebayo?" (who knows they are a bunch of ignorant fucks) they will surely not do this since they are.. yeah what i just said, but i'm using it as an example, since what in my opinion is that their subs are pretty amazing so they could come here and "showoff" their fansubbing skills or even try to get hired by a Anime Company?. *Points at Gonzo*

DB posted a forum saying they do it on purpose for their enjoyment and said if you picked up on it give a pat to your parents for giving you a brain.

Yep i know they did that, but in this case since they'll surely stop subbing completely when Bleach gets here on CR as well, the subbers there could maybe try to get a job as a fansubber at a japanese company? i know it might sound retarded because of the hundred of thousand dl's they get every week from their releases. (destroying abit for the company?).

And i do also know that all (well mostly all) fansubbers do it for enjoyment to bring happiness to the fans who likes their anime, i don't really say no to that, atleast some people dl anime's (torrents) and then buy the DVD's, Atleast that is what i'm doing.

Supporting the company just a tiny bit =)

Edit: i hope we can keep this thread alive and up-to-date with the news so the "retarded" kids won't make retarded threads again.

The translators are supposedly Professional...

indeed they are professional but translating, not professionals in graphic design or typography.

it sucks a lot

The way they translate are usually americanized

i wouldn't mind paying to dl anime if the Internet was regulated like crazy but it isn't :D

The sole purpose i would buy dvds is for the quality, and replace the subs myself. I would find that illegal still but who would know :O

http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-an-internet-troll.htm

An Internet troll is someone who posts offensive, controversial, or divisive material on an Internet community. Trolls are an unfortunately common occurrence on many communities across the Internet, and there are various steps which can be taken to combat them. If you are currently struggling with an Internet troll, the best thing to do is to walk away, since trolls feed on attention, and they will usually disappear if they are ignored.

The evolution of the Internet troll was a slow process which began as computer users started to more widely adopt the Internet. At first, the term referred merely to someone who was “trolling” for a response or opinion, in the same way that fishing boats cast out large nets to troll for a catch. Over time, trolls grew more aggressive, and the term began to be used specifically to refer to someone irritating or hurtful. In this sense, a troll could be compared to the nasty creatures of Scandinavian mythology which are also known as trolls.

There are a number of different types of trolls. In the most classic case, a troll harasses an Internet community for a few weeks, posting contradictory opinions or statements on bulletin boards in an attempt to stimulate a response. Internet trolls are differentiated from people who genuinely wish to present a different viewpoint by their attitudes and aggressiveness; their goal is not to discuss a situation, but to frustrate the members of a discussion board. They often use fallacious arguments or attack the users of a site when they attempt to defend themselves from the troll's activities.

In some cases, a troll becomes a recurring figure who is well known by long-term members of a bulletin board. The individuals often tell newcomers to the community to ignore the troll, who may use various tactics to get a rise from newbies. In more serious cases, an Internet troll may try to drive a wedge through a community, often with the assistance of sock puppet accounts. A sock puppet is a fake identity which is used by someone who does not want to post under his or her regular name; some trolls have multitudes of sock puppets to make their side of an argument look like it has a large number of supporters.

Trolls can be extremely frustrating. Especially when trolls use hate speech and stalkerlike tactics, they can cross the line to being dangerous in addition to being aggravating. If you are the administrator of a website, there are a number of ways to deal with trolls, from IP blocking to reporting them to the authorities if they threaten users of your site. As a site user, the best response to a troll is no response, which will ultimately drive the Internet troll into moving on in search of fresh prey.

You find my statement offensive, controversial, or divisive. But can you find my statement to be at false, without you to only attack my person. No, I don't think so.

In fact, your goal is not to discuss the situation in my statement, but to frustrate me, a member of the CR discussion board. You often use fallacious arguments or attack my person, when I attempt to defend myself from your activities.

Furthermore, no matter how you don't like my attitude nor my aggressiveness, I never spoken irrationally when presenting my viewpoint.

Therefore, as a CR user, this will be my last respond to all your statement regarding only to my person.

BTW i never really did mention your name in the post you quoted. so how did you even know that i was talking about you? so i guess you are aware of what your are doing after all.

What makes you think they are not supporting the anime creators? the selfless act of fansubbing is already a great help to the anime industry. its just that people like you lack the foresight to see it
