Well, as a child, I came to understand death rather naturally. There were no particular events that enlightened me on the subject. I remember the earliest death near me was at age 4 or 5, when a cat of mine had died to a car. I never got to see the dead cat. My mom tried explaining to me that it was dead, and indeed I understood the permanent loss. It didn't seem to be some difficult concept for me.

This is no abnormal concept either. There are other people who experience similar. The difference between a swift grasp on death and struggle to understand seem likely related to learning patterns or similar.

I've understood the finite extent of my own life plenty long. Even, around the age of 12 I established what I expect to be the range of my age at death. Not some strange "goal" like 100, but more realistic, like around 50.

when I was riding my motorcycle, I almost got T-boned, I was way too lucky that the one only got struck was the back portion of the motorcycle, It's not my fault after all, either way I learned that death (well at least)can happen when you atleast don't expect, that drastically change my habit how to drive more defensively.

'I think I already pointed out this story. ' but I did die once befor I was hit by a van and was rushed to the hospital. at the hospital I died, little later I came back from death. as for what I seen in death... Nothing really.. I had wet dream where I was in some futer like war zone fighting along side tanks that had to be bigger than house. And later the dream jumped to more of me hanging out at school but there all girls but be and we all naked. at the end of the dream there was Subtitles and a cartoon like charcter running across the screen. Then I woke up on a white bed with my head wrapped up. Dock said I deid, but some how My will to survive brang me back.

'I think it was more my lust that got my heart pumping again. Hehe. But the brain works in odd ways to cope with death. for me it place me in a sci fi war with high tech weapons than warp me to a room full of naked Girls. learning about math or something I forget the class. (MABY IT WAS SEX ED!)

As people should know your brain still works for a little time after death. So your brain uses that time to find away to cope with it.
