He gave her the Crest of Chaos, and said, "We only know that the crest can grant the wielder three attacks... Chaos Control, Chaos Spear, and Chaos Blast.... just command and it'll attack..."

Shere Khan also smiled, "Excellent, she's a worthy ally for us....."
The next few weeks, the two had gotten alot of training completed. At the same time, the two of them seemed to be getting closer to each other. However, Lucimon was getting really envious and bitter because Karin, the one he loved, was getting closer to Shere Khan than to him. He then decided that if he can't have her, no one will. He created a vial of ooze that can make anyone who's injected by it painfully die, as the ooze deconstructs the being's body slowly. He sees Karin and Shere Khan picking berries from a special thorn bush.
Shere Khan tells Karin, "Careful, these thorn vines can attack anyone, even me..." As he finished, a vine grabbed Karin by the leg.

Karin screamed, But she got stronger the past couple of days so she ripped the vine of her leg. The vine started to attack back and soon many vines were around her. Karin couldn't rip all the vines that were around her.

Shere Khan saw the vines attacking Karin, so he placed the basket of berries down, before attacking the vines and saving Karin. However, one of the thorn vines that looked like an arm gave him the scar we see on his face now. He asked her, "Are you all right?"

Shere Khan told her, "It's nothing. Now hold still, this may sting a little..." He used his staff to heal all of her scars and cuts. They then continued to pick more berries. Lucimon found the right moment to aim the ooze at Karin's head. However, as he readied the shot, Shere Khan sniffed out his scent. As Lucimon took the shot, Karin saw the needle approaching her. Shere Khan quickly used his right arm to intercept the needle. As he fell, he roared rather loudly as the ooze started to destroy his arm. Karin noticed Lucimon's figure before he ran off.

Karin panicked "You, Idiot" She started to sob. She tried to pull out the needle out from his arm, but he pulled away so the ooze wouldn't hurt her. She took the thorns that look like an arm, She took out her dagger and cut his arm off "Sorry if it's painful, Please bare a little longer" Karin took out her crest and attached the thorn arm to his torso, she chanted a spell which allows her to fuse the torso and thorn arm together, The spell was successful and she hugged Shere Khan, and sobbed.

Later that day (night time), Karin was staring out of the window in her room. She was still crying. Shere Khan entered her room after he told SCAR about Lucimon's treachery. He asked her, "You feeling any better?"
