This is why there is the position of TALENTOS in Japan. Getting paid to show up because of their looks is pretty much what TALENTOS do... most of them, anyways. Some of them climb their way up to become models BECAUSE of their "beauty."
Some take classes, or even "beautify" their way to become "wanabe" actors, and they achieve this because of their looks.
Others have an average decent voice and start recording music, when there are some amazing artists who have the voice, but not the looks that the Japanese people want for their IDOLS.
Idols, again, are people valued MOSTLY because of their physical good looks.

All these factors lead some Japanese members of the entertainment business to obsess over good looks and up the chance at surgery to remain in the public eye.

The most disappointing fact that I personally am sad for some Asian artists, is the infamous double eye-lid surgery. I personally feel that they do not have to overdramatize their eyes to become better looking or even, more western looking. I feel that these people might have a misguided perception of what beauty is. I want them to accept their BEAUTIFUL NATURAL features.

Then again, Plastic surgery, IS and ALWAYS will be, a topic that is linked to the multiple ENTERTAINMENT businesses around the world, so long as people believe that physical looks are what beauty truly is.

This is just what I think... if you disagree with me, that's OKay. AGAIN, THIS IS JUST MY OPINION. No need to get all worked out over it.
