This is the Raccoon City Police Department.
The Building Has:
This main hall hasn't changed much from the original. It's grandeur is still intact and it's sheen has been polished. The massive double doors are still there, but there's a huge dent in them from the outside. One door on the right leads to a cafeteria/conference room, which has a small white door leading into it. Down the stairs, directly in front of the entrance is a large semi-circle of a fountain with a maiden pouring water into a pool through a vase. Within the vase there is an indention of where there used to be some sort of encrusted object. Behind the fountain lies a computer desk, which is circular in shape and has a series of four flat-screen monitors lined along it with a big copier, printer, and several modems for computers. The keyboards and mice are no where to be found. In the back there's a broken ladder leading to the second floor landing and to the left are a pair of double-doors (which have been slightly damaged) and a single grey metal door leading to a conference room.
Most of this is in flames due to a massive explosion that rocked the underground area. All the dogs in the kennels were torched and killed as well as the prisoners in the jail cells. All the cars in the garage area are either destroyed or in flames. The morgue and the weaponry storage area are still in tact, but everything else lies in shambles. If someone were to manage to get the fire out, the other doors would be able to be approached safely. There's a solitary manhole in the kennel that leads to the sewers, but it's not too safe to head in there alone. As a matter of fact, it's not safe anywhere alone...
Still under reconstruction, this outside area has been dealt a heavy blow during the outbreak. There was a massive riot which filled the area with ranks of the undead. The gates are completely torn down around the courtyard and the large double-doors that open up into the RCPD are caved in- possibly due to the wrecked sedan a few feet from the door. Zombies are heavy around these parts and it seems if someone was stuck here that heading inside would be the best bet.The sign reading "Police Dept." is hanging at an angle over the entrance, ready to fall any second.
The first floor is rather large, encompassing almost 70% of the building. There are three doors that lead to the first floor through the main hall- one to the break room, one to a reception office, and another to the cafeteria/officer quarters. There's a conference room which has a mass of tangled chairs and a podium (papers and debris is scattered about) and there's a back room which has an open fireplace with a picture of a lion and a battlefield above it. There's a large, misshapen clock above the podium as well as a chalkboard with miscellaneous writing about it. The dark room is further to the south, next to a conference room and a vault/weaponry storage unit.
1st Floor: Chief's Office
A lightly decorated room. It seems that the original room was so destroyed that they remodeled with simplicity. There is a lack of originality and it seems that it's more Asian than American, due to the new police chief being half Japanese himself. There's a row of Katanas lining the wall all the way around as well as a stylish European desk. There are distinct holes in the wall near the back- it seems there was some type of locking mechanism there before it was taken out. There's a circular blood stain on the sheek carpeting right near the entrance. Tread lightly, there may be more in here than meets the eye.
Huge bookcases- six in total, line these walls and protrude out into the middle. They seem to be sitting on what looks like rails. They can easily be pushed, but it seems two out of the six are actually bolted down. There are four ladders that are attached as well as a few overturned desks and computer stations. It's pretty dusty in here and there isn't much to look at other than a few derelicts of time past. Unless you've come for reading material or research documents, there's not much else here.
The second floor doesn't hold too much of a candle to the first floor. There are a maze of statues on the second floor landing and the outcropping along the edge of the main lobby seem to have been mysteriously destroyed- but not to the point of a smart survivor finding away across. There's a few holding cells along the south side, and there's a maze of hallways leading to various bathrooms, Officer's quarters, reception rooms, break rooms and a small kitchen.
2nd Floor: S.T.A.R.S. Office
There is a large chain over the two doors leading into the S.T.A.R.S. office as well as two padlocks. But, once opened somehow, it leads to an empty room. There's literally nothing within. The desks are all pushed up against the sides of the room but it's strange- each desk is on what look like rails and each dresser has a padlock on it with a picture of each Bravo Team STARS member: Jill, Chris, Rebbecca,Albert and Barry. There's a sheet of paper bolted onto the wall in the southeastern corner of the room with a small design of a cross drawn on it. The wall across from the entrance has a door-shaped indention in it. It's up to the imagination what might happen..
Not much to see here. A massive H painted on the ground within a circle of yellow as well as a storage shed full of miscellaneous tools with nuts and bolts. There's a single staircase that leads into the conference room of the 1st floor on the East side of the roof. There's two beheaded corpses lying in the back, closer to the edge of the railing that looks over the street below. One is actually leaning over the railing and the other is at the other's feet. This isn't too bad of a place to be as long as zombies don't learn how to climb stairs.
This is war, survival is your responsibility...
