looks great, but if modded that car has so much potential.
Better body kit, spoiler, gils, suspension and tyres. Pretty ownage car. The car is built for drift, 520BHP would be enough, lol probably could pull a caravan while drifting.

you guys have been comparing GTR to 911 Turbo, but hows it compare to 911 GT2? i thought 911 GT2 had about 500BHP, i'm not sure

Yes, the 2008 and 2009 GT-R are built to drift. That's why Nissan wasted time and resources to build a 4wd coupe with an ATTESA system. Despite that the ATTESA system limits any kind of traction loss. They also took the car to Germany to test it on the famous Nurburgring. After a year of gruelling testing to find the best performance that spun the GT-R around the 'ring at a blistering 7:29[/b], Nissan engineers scrapped the whole setting and readjusted it to go dori dori around corners with a theoretically impossible AWD system.

I guess the GT-R is a badass drift car despite Nissan's rigorous track testing for the past couple years.

well played, very cool effect there.

thanks for the info, i did know about GTR out preforming 911 turbo on the Nurburgring, but on the second post i was asking how it did compared to the 911 GT2, some reason u didn't answer that

A simple google search will net you your answer.

So the GT-R can drift? kinda cool...
but if i use it as a drift car?, no especially if you hit a wall at high speeds and pay hard for replacing bumpers...

^That's just the regular GT-R, not SpecV. The photos were taken from the NorthWest GTG (get together) in Seattle.

The new GT-R SpecV isn't even on sale in Japan yet until early February and is expected to arrive in the U.S. later in the year. The SpecV is available with an exclusive 'Ultimate Black Opal' finish, which is basically a purple-ish black hue (the orange coloring in the pic is actually just a reflection from a 370Z), and pricing starts at ¥15,750,000, which translates to a little over $175,000.00.

EDIT:
Actually, it's stated to cost $160,000.00 in the U.S. though, prior to mark ups.

So no power increase, no back seat, and more than double the price? LOL, guess you gotta do what you gotta do to beat the ZR1. At least someone found a way to fix the tranny's emo tendency to fail under pressure (i.e., when used as designed ) but it wasn't Nissan.

Wow this car is so awsome.
(p.s. The regular has more than 515 hp (unrecorded top speed), therefore this one probably has way more hp:)

No. The engine remains the same.

The only thing that's been upgraded/swapped are
-CF Spoiler, CF Grill, CF Brake ducts
-Removal of rear seats
-Recaro CF bucket seats, partial CF Interior
-Lighter wheels
-Ceramic brakes
-Overboost button (which can, well momentarily, improve HP)

And.... that's it.

The GTR only makes 480bhp and 475tq at the fly wheel. The V spec has a better power to weight ratio.

The funny thing is if the V spec sets the new production car record Chevy and Dodge cant do anything but watch while they steal tax payer money.

I wouldn't doubt the V-Spec could do it. The other stuff about Chevy and Dodge is neither here nor there - not like they forced Nissan to go GT-R V-Spec to try and beat the ZR-1 and the Viper ACR in an attempt to get their 'Ring record back. So far, its unofficial observed lap time is still below that of the Viper ACR.
