In this guide I want to tell you a little bit about how offers work, and give you some tips for completing them. I’ll add additional answers to questions as they come up. Hope this helps!

Q: How exactly does this work?

Good question. Crunchyroll works with several different companies and advertising networks to find offers for you to complete. When Crunchyroll finds a company who wants to have their users try their product or service, they list it on our site. When a user completes their offer through our site, they report the completion to us and Crunchyroll credits your account.

People often ask why some offers take hours or days to confirm for them, and the simple answer is that Crunchyroll rely on our advertisers to provide them with statistics about users who have completed their offers. Some offers credit almost instantly, but others take longer because the advertiser may give Crunchyroll updates only periodically. Once they receive this information from advertisers, user accounts are updated automatically.

Q: What does it mean when an offer is Pending?

Crunchyroll provide the “Pending” feature only as a way for you to track the offers that you’ve done. Just because an offer is Pending does not mean it will be credited, and even if you forget to submit an offer to Crunchyroll, you’ll still receive credit for the offer when the company reports to Crunchyroll.

You may have noticed that it’s possible to submit offers to Crunchyroll (and give them Pending status) even if you haven’t completed them. Remember that you will only be credited for the offer when the advertiser notifies Crunchyroll that you have completed the offer.

Q: How long do offers stay Pending?

An offer stays pending until Crunchyroll receive credit for it or until a certain amount of time has passed. If that certain amount of time has passed without crediting, it will be removed from your Pending list and put back into your Available Offers list so you can complete it. If that same offer is eventually credited to Crunchyroll, Crunchyroll will credit your account regardless of whether it’s Pending or not.

Q: I did an offer and I still haven’t received credit. Why?

If an offer hasn’t credited for you, it’s because Crunchyroll hasn’t received credit. If, for any reason, Crunchyroll didn’t receive credit from the advertiser, Crunchyroll cannot credit your account. Remember that in most cases offers confirm within a couple of hours, but sometimes they can take days or weeks. I know it’s hard to wait, but try to be patient!

Q: Why would an advertiser withhold credit if I completed the offer?

I understand it’s frustrating to do an offer and not get credit for it—it’s frustrating for me, too! There are a variety of reasons why an advertiser may not credit you for an offer you believe you completed. Here are some of those reasons:

• You didn’t complete the entire offer. If you quit half way through a survey or don’t finish an offer, you won’t be credited. For example, many sites require that you confirm your email address at the end of the registration.

• Fake or inaccurate information was used. If you use fake information when completing an offer, you will not receive credit. Using fake or misleading information is also against Crunchyroll Terms of Service and will result in the termination of your account. If you’re not interested in having a company know your real information, don’t do the offer!

• You’ve done the offer before. Advertisers aren’t interested in paying for the same person to try their product or service multiple times. If you’ve done the offer (or possibly even an offer from the same company) outside of Crunchyroll, they won’t receive credit for it if you do it again.

• You used a gift card or prepaid credit card to do the offer. If you do an offer that requires a credit card, some companies will not credit Crunchyroll if you use a gift card or prepaid credit card. This is because they don’t want you signing up for a trial, only to find that your card gets declined if you continue with them after the trial period.

• You canceled the offer immediately. If you sign-up for a product trial and then immediately cancel your trial, you won’t receive credit. The point of Crunchyroll’s program is that you get CR bucks to try products and services that you’re interested in. By canceling immediately, you’re indicating that you weren’t even interested to begin with. If you’re not interested in an offer, don’t do it!

Q: I have very few offers available to me. What’s the deal?

Unfortunately the bulk of Crunchyroll’s offers are only available to those users within the United States. Very few are available to international members at this time. The good news is that we’re starting to see more and more international offers (especially for those of you in Europe and Canada).

Q: What else should I keep in mind when completing offers?

Be sure you read the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any other relevant information on an advertiser’s site before you do an offer. While I try to give you a general idea of what an offer is and how much it costs, I can’t guarantee that this informational guide is accurate or up-to-date. Be sure to check for yourself first.

Also: Changing your e-mail once in awhile will help offers get approved. A good time to change your e-mail is once offers stop approving.

Secondly: Its good to clear your COOKIES from your web browser. Cookies saves information and offer sites will read these cookies, and in some cases will not credit you because the site knows that you have already been there.

Yeah but theres a question I have that you never mentioned...

Are the sites dodgy?

Looks dodgy to me, and when I hover over the links in the status bar it shows the IP not the URL...

Well this was intended for the people that are struggling with offers to get their premium membership. That's nice that you don't care about cr bucks. It's really irrelevant to the topic.

These sites aren't "dodgy" at all. As long as you complete the offers correctly, and read the details when you click on the URL from crunchyroll page http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime_membership_cpa?src=fp you should be fine. As for the IP showing and the URL not showing, I have no idea what your talking about. On the URL page http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime_membership_cpa?src=fp you click on an offer and it takes you directly to the web address of the advertiser or whatnot. I might be misunderstanding you? Sorry ^_^

Ahh! Well if you haven't noticed already, all the links are the same except the last 11-12 digits of the link. The IP 74.86.15.60 is Crunchyroll's IP address or so I would assume. The last 11-12 digits are the different websites. Basically when the IP address is on the website link to the advertiser, it lets the advertiser site know that your being referred from crunchyroll.com so they can pay crunchyroll once you have finished the offer.

Yeah...you sorta ignore those things because you never win apple macs or cash prizes. You do it to earn the CR Bucks for this site. The nice thing is that most of the offers are over a dollar. I tend to focus on the two dollar ones, and by doing so I easily get over twenty dollars. In a short period of time I should have enough to purchase the 12 month premium membership. I just hate the idea of waiting a week later for Naruto episodes rather than right when it comes out. Why waste money with your debit card when you can get it for free?

Q: I have very few offers available to me. What’s the deal?

Unfortunately the bulk of Crunchyroll’s offers are only available to those users within the United States. Very few are available to international members at this time. The good news is that we’re starting to see more and more international offers (especially for those of you in Europe and Canada).

Unfortunately there are not as many offers available to members outside of the USA....The 3rd party companies that pay crunchyroll are mostly interested in what Americans/Europeans/Canadians think. There are offers for people residing in Asia, however you'll just need to wait for the 3rd party companies to add more for you. I can't really help any further because I just don't work for these companies, sorry!
