I didn't think this movie was sad in the least. Or maybe I'm just a freak. I thought it was cute. Sweet. Gentle, somehow. Adorable and just, calm. Not a lot of movies, anime or not, give me that feeling.
A little short, though.

It was one of those movies for me...where although heartbeakingly bittersweet, I just didn't cry. And I think it mean's more not to cry than too cry for this sort of masterpiece...

Same here! It was such a masterpiece and I was marvelled by the artwork. I felt like I was going to cry, but because I was expecting reality to hit hard, I didn't cry..

But boy did that make me feel all depressed about life and how short it is. I should start to make mine more meaningful.

I felt my heart contract so tightly, sadness filled up in the last episode, how reality can be harsh especially that I know howTono feels. He felt lonely, he quit his job yet his smile at the end and the piano piece when it kicked in, my eyes teared up. The little smile at the end is more like even if one road is closed there is still hope somewhere or at least that's how I wish to interpret it because I do believe there is still hope somewhere in the world.

this was a great movie. its one of the simple type of anime movies that u really need to think about since the creator didnt make it complicated. its more of a telling a story by making the audience think about it. the storyline to me wasnt confusing at all u just need to think about it and look at all the details =) very sad movie though made me think about myself and my life

In the anime where there shows a music video so much has happened when its sliding pictures. Like When he was in university he had 2 or 3 girlfriends, one of them was the first one he slept with, the second one was only for 3 months because she was going out with his upperclassman as well as him, the other one was a long relationship which he spent much time at her house rather then his house her naem was Risa something, but they broke up and got together again but then they break again because he was still in love with his Akari, then you know what happens because its in the anime

The first time I cried was when they met 4 hours after there designated meeting time in the snowy station. The second time was during the credits when the full force of the sorrow finally hit me. This is the first anime to make me cry TWICE . . . and so will go down in my all time favourites list

Well it definitely made me cry, it reminded me of things from when I was younger..
I loved watching this movie tho, even if it made me cry, it was in a good way.
