Really? Cause the Filipinos I see around here have plenty of pride in themselves.

Here's a reason for Filipinos to not hate their country

You just have try to understand and appreciate. Don't assume most of the things, you'll get over the hate.

I think posting threads like this might help fuel that hate. You know who you are just compare them to what
they are saying or just ignore them.

How quick we react to a foreigners "alleged" racist remarks even though we know first hand that his observations can easily be supported by what can be seen by the naked eye or odious enough even for the untrained nose.

immediately or usually within a matter of seconds, minutes or hours the internet is flooded by posts of our irate countrymen armed with bolos and torches, foaming at the mouth ready to tar and feather the poor fellow who simply stated the truth that our motherland is festering in corruption and offensive to all the five senses. well six if you include the ghost government employees and also voters; who through some form of red tape sorcery are resurrected to fill the coffers and ballots of our beloved incumbents.

not to mention our concept of time. for we, for reasons perplexing enough to warrant an episode in the twilight zone... are always late. not fashionably late but almost life and death, departed, comatose late. and our typical excuse for this? "pinoy kasi tayo eh"

Aaanak ng baklang pating na triplets! to use our race as a reason for our ordeals with the definition of sanity or sometimes just plain common sense doesn't make sense at all. being filipino doesn't excuse you for being late.

Who cares? Let them bash for all they want. Tch.
Flips, boondock people, Mexicans on an island. Offended?
You shouldn't be.
I'm Filipino myself and I don't really give a shit about people bashing my country nor having to defend it.

The word you're looking for is "patriotic," not "heroic." Okay?
