WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how does everyone have unlimited u FREAKS lol
anyway lol
mines a 25gb download limit and the bandwidth is supposedly 20mb

Many houses here run under fiberoptics and a lot of cable companies that provide cable tv also include cable internet as a combo even internet phone so you pay for a package combo each month = $$$ and they don't really care for how much bandwidth mainly because the technology supports a lot of it. In some places where the connectivity is not as available usually caps (speed limits) and bandwidth limit to be able to share it with everyone else. Since technology has advanced a lot there are usually no limits, then again at the cost of a price. What I like about the area I live in, the cable guy said the signal at our house is equivalent to 3 houses lol so I won't have any slowdowns along with the unlimited bandwidth !

I have fiberoptic too.
How fast do you have? And how much does it cost?

about $54.95 USD but you have to have digital cable package on top of that

1500mbps upload //15000mbps download (22000mbps when no ones on/night time)

~190kb/s upload // 1.9mb/s download/2.7mb/s (at night time)

whoa thats expensive.
I get this for about 14 USD

haha yeah i know a lot of people in the UK have ridiculous speeds, here in the states its getting there, it used to be 2mbps that was standard, then went to 5mbps and now 7mbps is standard and if you pay extra u get the 15mbps (what i have now) a friend of mine gets 30mbps at around the same price as me so i guess its by location as well... they'll probably up the standard soon but they mostly regulate the speeds to a mid especially uploads to 'reduce' piracy heh, just like phones unlimited text/pic/vids are at a flat low rate now rather than before

hehe yeah I know what you mean, ah my bad i mean UK as in the same area (europe etc..) ... yeah i cant even download anything because im always out of room, friend of mine showing me all his servers online going at 10mb/s but i still find no use of going so fast when i keep filling up my HD lol... yeah it doesnt really reduce piracy one bit lol, piracy has been there since the dawn of age... (50x 1mb floppy disks = game) wish we had those speeds here as standard but you know how they regulate a lot of stuff here and its all about the money even wireless phone companies are offering home internet nowdays... so while we dont really need the speeds right now its still good to have a lot of bandwidth

hehe yeah.
Here in Sweden a new law is coming this year which allows the movie- and music industry to force the ISP to reveal an identity behind an IP which has been used for piracy. And then they sue that person. That sucks.
But then there are companies who pay your fine if you loose in court
