============================

PLOT:
Young Sophie Hatter is cursed by the Witch of the Waste, and turns into an old hag. Ashamed of how she looks, she flees into the hills where a moving castle roams the hills. It is said to belong to the young and handsome wizard Howl, who has a bad reputation. Within the castle, Sophie befriends the fire demon Calcifer, who promises to help her become young again. One catch: she must help Calcifer to be free of Howl, and Calcifer cannot tell her how.

i believe there was already a hayao Miyazaki thread but o well,,,,,,

i have been a fan of his work for 2 decades now,,, my personal 2 favorites would have to be my neighbor totoro,,,, and princess mononoke....

but howls moving castle like spirited away(a must see film by the way)deals with a excellent mix between a sense of adventure, drama, with kid like humor at times,,,, still there is a sense of agony in all his works....

truly blessed to be able to a seen these wonderful films

GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES IS A ADULT VIEWED STORY THOUGH nothing like his other films
its not porn or anything...

it has no happy ending...even movie critics acclaim this movie to be one of the saddest movies of its period....
but if you are up for it... one of his best movies ever

recommend every last one of his works

Honestly, I didn't like it. THe plot was boring (but probably it's because he based it off a boring book) and not as in depth as his prev. films. Sure there's the antiwar theme, but Hayao Miyazaki could do so much better...
