Pres. George Bush has contribute significantly in Marine conservation
"Did he neglect the environment?

-Created the world’s largest marine reserve according to Washington Times and the EPA.
-Then created three more marine reserves which were, though not as quantum in proportion, still immensely expansive according to the environmentalist expert Enric Sala and Economist.com.
-Under his administration we’ve actually done more for the environment than the Clinton Administration and the European Union. Tony Snow/James Inhofe/Headline Earth.
" - SeraphAlford

I thought I tackle the issue of the environment concerns that President Bush may leave behind as I believe it is of great importance to myself, fellow Americans and even the World.

Technically the world's largest Marine reserve as from 2008 is at the tiny Pacific islands nation of Kiribati, the size is as large as California. Still credit goes to President Bush during June 2006, with inspiration from a documentary on the island chain’s biological resources shown at the White House in April by Jean-Michel Cousteau, the marine explorer and filmmaker, and to some small degree Laura Bush (bless her), have designated the Northwestern Hawaiian islands as a strictly protected marine reserve, which made it them the largest Marine reserve. Now in the final weeks of the Bush presidency 2009, he is determined to leave a mark on his environmental legacy with designating nearly 200,000 square miles of the Pacific Ocean as conservation areas. This has establish Bush so far as the world leader who have protected more of the ocean than anyone else in the world.

Were the criticism uncalled for then?
Most environmentalist group will tell you that despite praise for his efforts in marine conservation, there are other important environmental concerns which the Bush administration have chosen to ignore.

Before Jan 2001 inauguration as President, Bush was a governor of Texas and he left behind...
According to the report by Republicans for Environmental Protection (REP):

During George Bush tenure as president, some of his decisions which include his administration and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), what he left behind...

2001 mess:

2002 mess

2003 mess

2004 mess

2005 mess

2006 mess

2007 mess

2008 mess

On a last note
The current and past actions of the Bush administration has left a bitter taste among most environmentalists, there is even members within the GOP that have expressed criticism about how the administration have carried out the Environment plan, which have ignored the effects and safety risk that improper practice of the environment have not only on animals but also the health risk and well being of US citizens as a whole. Thats is why despite the current administration to leave with a positive large note on the marine reserve conservation, most environmentalists are not in the illusion that the Bush administration are really championing the cause for environmental protection.

Eh people blame him personally because they dont know anything about the American government system. They dont know what Congress or the Senate do apparently. Congress is run by the Democrats, they control much of what is being done in the USA. Bush only serves for checks and balances, basically veto power in this regard. Congress wanted to make Bush look bad, they know people are stupid enough that if they do something to make things worse, people will blame bush. Washington Democrats do not want any republican president to look good...ever, even if its for the good of the nation/world. The idea is to strike fear into re-electing a republican party president, and thus have greater control. Its so stupid that even stupid people dont see it.

Bush wasnt all that bad, he wasnt the best president in history, but he sure as hell wasnt the worst. If a kid fell on his face because he didnt tie his shoes right, people would blame Bush. Thats just the reality of it. Congress was democrat run, there was a lot of civil sabotage and demo vs repub bickering, which only hurt everyone. Bush cant be blamed for this. Bills keep trying to get passed with added spending into it, hidden agendas, which keep each side from blocking the other. These idiots cant keep their own agendas out of needed action.

Any intelligent person would understand that you cant blame Bush... no you would be stupid if you didnt blame the current situation with selfish idiotic multiparty bickering and agenda driven bill passing/blocking. Special interests need to stay out of government.

His approval rating is rock bottom for a reason, though I think it has a lot to do with his image as well. He looks very simple. He's not the kind of man that evokes confidence in you when you look at him. He doesn't act like a strong leader.

he stopped usa from getting attacked again didn't he, the guy looked terrorism in the eyes and never turned away got to admire him for that . in the uk we though blair was bad until brown took over , lets see what obama does then judge bush in 4 to 8 years.

If George Bush was all bad, then America wouldn't elect him more than once. However personally, I think he is an idiot.

I don't know. i don't particularly like him, but he didn't screw everything up. he's funny to watch at the very least, so many comedians have proven that point. it doesn't seem like the world holds him in very high regard, but maybe we all "misunderestimated" him.
