Interesting, but it does say;

"Stem cells isolated from bone marrow of male volunteers"

But would it be possible to perform the experiment using only women?

They would only be able to have female children, I suppose, because women have xx chromosomes so two women could only produce xx. However, I don't think there would be much difference with the experiment if done with female volunteers. I think you would have more complaints from right wingers about playing god, than if you said "We're just trying to allow impotent/aging men to have more kids!". Maybe they were only funded for this reason. Of course, I don't know enough about biology to feel confident of my answer.

All I know is that I put the xy chromosomes in sexy. *buffs and polishes*

^^^^ Great, now you're giving me bad mental images ( TT- TT )

It is true that men are becoming devalued in a society where women are already devalued. I'm kind of enjoying it, actually :D. *ahem* I support the feminist movement, but I do think that they are going about the "feminazi" way. Most of the feminist groups I've seen so far are hypocrites.

And there are the other "feminists" who do nothing more than say how soiciety should bring back the age where women should go back to wearing skirts (ahem) and enjoy "being a girl." Does any one listen to Dr. Laura? She pisses the *(#*R out of me. She claims to be feminist, yet STILL believes that the role of a woman is to suppport her husband and balblablabla. Personally, I don't believe in gender roles. (aside, from a mother's or a father's role in their child's life

As a teenager, don't believe that gender and sexualism is an issue anymore. People are becoming more and more androgynous, which is kind of creepy. Of course there would still be bigots from both sexes, but I doubt any one would take them seriously.

I actually think the japanese guys are breaking the fall of masculinity. Ever wondered why so many chicks dig grown men in dresses now? They put on make up and dress up for us to enjoy. So the women are devalued, but yeah you guys are going down too .
About feminists, I lol at them.
Emancipation: yes. Feminism: no! Armies of women with short mushroom like haircuts: no. Men in dresses:yes!

Edit:

All I know is that I put the xy chromosomes in sexy.

I'm curious as to why this thread is specifically focused on teenagers. Do you believe that teenagers are more sexist than adults, or that more sexism exists against teenagers? Or is this thread a way to shirk off the guilt of your forefathers, that things are different in the newest wave of youth?

I'm going to warm up a little by picking out the skirt comment, that women shouldn't wear pants. I remember a specific instance five years ago where a man tried to justify his raping a woman because she was wearing a skirt. His defense was simply "I was being a man with her because she was being a woman". Gender specific clothing is a one-way street that leads to women at this stage, because functional clothing and mens clothing are the same things. Not all teenage women are interested in pleasing the eyes, especially if they are searching for a more concrete definition of self and considering other lifestyles than professional womanhood (housewife, mother). Some women have wild oats to sew, too, and they can't climb mountains in a skirt.

Many men and women today are struggling to be viewed by themselves and others as more than sex objects.Women are the fairer sex, and a lot of "life meaning" in our wonderful godless gumbo of a society focuses on love, and specifically sex. So it is only natural for maturing girls to be reminded now and then that awkward, sweaty teenage boys would like to justify their existence where that skirt rests. As human beings, we have a tendency to play the game of "If I only had this, then I would be happy". For teenagers, "this" usually takes the form of love, dating, or even the holy grail of SEX!

Teenagers love sex. Less than half of them are actually doing it, but a great majority of the population under 50 spends a lot of energy in this direction while in the mating stage of human life. As for teenagers, statutory rape law makes sex a wonderful experience of the blind leading the blind under the cover of the infinite mystery of the isolated other gender; anything goes and the only things you have to worry about are getting pregnant, religion, getting caught, and getting crabs.

As for teenage sexism, I have no idea what this thread is about because teenagers are still struggling to develop their own sexual identities, let alone take the time to persecute others.

And as far as feminism goes, I am very glad that miyazaki made his heroines. And as long as there are still men that have penises that are too big for them to do housework or cook a meal off the grill, the feminist cause isn't over.

I'd say its about "teenage" because it is the time of our lives when we're first truly exposed to the opposite sex and the world at large. because we are developing their, "sexual idenities" we're also developing how we place the other individual. "the source" if you will.

I'd also like a link to the story you mentioned, if possible. To validate.

Depending on my mood. I range from hopeful, to cynical, to downright full of hatred.

There are lots of cases, but I'm too lazy to find anything reliable. Mostly hearsay.
But why the f*** would anyone rape if they didn't find their victim attractive? Google "mini-skirt rape justification" if you want to see my hearsay homework.

I can't really find evidence to support the myth of rape justification.

^ generally you'll find that rape is more often about power then actually the sex. Such as the raping of old women (horrible and monsterous).
