nope, hell no, being an artist of any kind requires passion...which means people will do it regardless of if someone is paying him/her, since someone is doing it for free, why pay? Thats the reason how labour cost for artists are kept at the minimum...unless its the work of a really famous artist who DIED.

HOWEVER, the great thing about artists, they are like our time capsule, our representation of the life we had or hope to have, we know what ancient people from China used to wear, and what they like to do best through their art. 1000 years down the road people will watch our anime and will be able to tell what were our dreams and aspirations for the future which is their present.

OP is more likely to be a 13 year old kid who wants to draw anime and thinks that he can actually make it there.

Who's OP?

You OP. From my own opinion, I can tell that ppl who watch anime tends to aim for these kind of things, either they are childish or they're just those things you have to work hard for. I once thought of this but I realized that being someone who does this things isn't exactly my type. If you're just being an immature kid who thinks that he's going to make it there then I suggest you don't make a shitty thread about it, most ppl will boast and post shit about themselves.

inb4drawfags
To all those self proclaimed drawing fucks, FUCK YOU. This is about the job, don't you dare go on that topic you fucking assholes. In fact, just shut the fuck up, no one needs a high headed faggot claiming that he's going to be making those animu shit with his fucked up drawing he keeps posting cause he's too proud of himself.

Er... I dont understand the second part and i'm a girl not a boy.

You don't have to understand, it's for ppl who purposely post some of their drawings here to prove that they are capable to make it there whilst in reality, it's just a child's daydream.

youre really mean, TriPad...
some peples dreams do become a reality.... but its easier to have a backup plan just in case - make sure you have a decent job ar education before you start to do manga.
I've been wondering - did you get up on the wrong side of the haystack, TriPad? Lol calm down! lifes a bitch but if you treat her right, she'll become marginally less of a bitch to you XD

If you came up with the idea for a show like Bleach or Naruto, you'd be smothered in your own cash. If you came up with something obscure that didn't appeal to a large fanbase, you probably shouldn't have quit your day job. If I ever got magical manga-drawing powers, I would submit to the darkside and draw obscene doujin. Might even make Chuck Norris blush. Sex sells, y'know.

Manga artist alone is just the role of the person that just draws the manga, along with a crew whom colors and draws in cells and such
or do u mean one who is a author that supplies the storyboard?
whatever it is, if u are very good at it, and can make it some type of uniqueness and appealing to people, it will sell and you will have $$$, otherwise u will go down the drain like many others... it's mainly the hard work that gets it

yeah i guess , i mean if ur manga sells alot.

only the best make the big bucks...but you'll be facing a lot of competition and wil have to struggle a lot to be noticed and also you have to be different while catering to what the masses want to see. If you have the passion for it, you can definately succeed.

to start with

mangakas draw their masterpieces out of passion and money is next
thats why they can get into the manga business and survive through hardships
thinking not to make money but its always next to passion though.,

i also thought of becoming a mangaka
but after maturing from my childish dreams
i decided not to go after that dream though if ive been given a chance to make manga
ill definitely going to grab it..but thats to far from reality
thats why if dont have the guts and also talents of course dont pursue it
youll only be disappointed of the outcome.
