And how will you watch it before it's up on CR when CR is the first one to get the latest episode one hour after it airs in Japan? Unless you live in Japan and watch it, there's no way you can be that fast. If you want to contact your friends go on AIM, MSN, Myspace, etc. (Well, since you don't have an Anime membership, you can't watch it as fast.) I know people are mad/sad/angry/pissed about the changes to CR. But you have to realize that Shinji's doing this to make this site legal. Shinji's getting permission from the companies. I mean seriously. Shinji's doing a great job here. i see ,,,you asleep,,,there alot from hackers they betting Shinjiiiiiiiiiii also they making him crying as girls ,,when he is see anime up in others sites before his site ,,, and this making you angry because im watching new anime before you!!! if u thinking in this way,,,YOU selfish too more then from greedy Shinji. and thx verrry much about those Hackers,,,,your Shinji he is using anime is like collecting money,,,always i was thinking Shinji he is sharing his anime with others,,,but he is became cheap. if im paying before just for support Cr ,,not for watching my anime on Suck screen. if you noting,,the members they have star just adult members,,the most of them in 25yr or 30yr or more,,is like anime here just for old people Lol. Lol, right. I'm asleep? Last time I checked, I'm wide awake. I'm not angry about whatever you watch at what time. Why should I give a crap? I'm just irritated that there are so many people are complaining about this and that. If you hate Shinji and CR so much why don't you just say nothing and at all and just leave? Ever heard of the saying, "If you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all."? Seriously. And just letting you know, I'm supporting the companies that broadcast animes like TV Tokyo. At least I'm supporting anime legally. I don't deny that I have watched fansubbed anime before. But at least I take the chance to support the companies that broadcast the anime that we love to watch. Shinji is the one who is just getting permission. I'm grateful for that. "Suck screen"? Right. 720dp quality does not suck. The quality of videos is good if you ask me. OLD PEOPLE? Right. I'm 18 years old. Not 25 or 30 years old. So that makes me old then? I've seen people here on CR who are 14 years old to 18 years old with Anime memberships. So what, they're old too? what 720p here Lol are you dreaming xD no more comment about it also i do not mind with this,,,already i do not watching my anime on online whether on Cr or in other sites and discussant with you=headache because you have star and you see everything here is like heaven for you Yohohohohoho,,,you poor think..real anime just On Dvd not on suck Screen. I'm 18 years old. Not 25 or 30 years old. So that makes me old then? I've seen people here on CR who are 14 years old to 18 years old with Anime memberships. So what, they're old too? I said the most,, not all them. i get enough from this topic,,,have fun with ur anime here Lol, You're missing the point. But are the latest episodes of the latest animes on DVD yet? No they aren't. 'Suck screen'? You meant to say 'Sucky screen' right? 'Discussant'? You mean 'Discussion' right? 'you poor think'? You mean 'you poor thing', right? 'Have fun with ur anime'? Sure I will. At least try to type proper English. |

Just to clarify some issues some more intelligent users have asked for.
A license is often acquired by bigger companies for a bigger region than they want to supply. For example, in Germany some years ago, Dragonball Z was run. The license for the WHOLE Europe region was bought by a French Company though. This meant that actually our TV Station had to license it from this company and buy THEIR version which was cut to oblivion. Legally, there was no way they could use the original Japanese Version for this. As in acquiring the rights for a show to be shown on here, it is far more easy if it is NOT licensed. Because that means that you can get the rights from the holder of the rights themselves. Once they start licensing them out, you have to get permission from every licensee who bought the license for their country and region. THis in the end means you are not dealing with one comapny, but possibly with one company for EVERY country you want to show your anime in. It is easier with the USA I guess as most licenses go to bigger companies like Viz. Those are bigger complexes you can deal with. And once you have ONE contract you have a foot in the door and know people and get more stuff done. One friendly company with a shitload of licenses is what made showing most of the stuff on here possible. It is most likely attracting more companies to do so. But for the European regions, the licensing issue gets more and more complicated due to shitloads of licenses from truckloads of companies. If there is actually a license for every single country, that means you might have to lead 15 negotations per SERIES. If you want to go for about 100 Series with licenses in 15 different countries, we are talking 1500 contracts and negotiations. If stuff is easier, at least 10 can be included in ONE contract, we are still at 150 contracts and negotiations and permissions. You guys say the creator of this site is cheap? Are you fucking nuts? I want this guy to be fucking RICH. Great idea, good following through, shitloads of work. If you have no fucking idea what kind of work and effort it means to start up a company, run negotiations with tens of other companies, get international law restrictions working for everything and manage an INTERNATIONALLY run company, go back to school. Seriously. Anyone below 20 here has most likely no fucking clue what this means. 60 hour weeks are not an exception for a startup. I dont know about Shinji, but from the speed improvements ARE made I do believe this might describe him a little. I might be wrong, but the speed stuff is handled is very quick. One day complaints, new player and modifications within 24 hours. Only other company I know that handles things this fast is Microsoft, and they have ridiculous amounts of staff. (For the guys that want to flame me about liking MS : Get a life.) Seriously, the children's issues of this site had to be expected. We are on a trial run. This is an experiment that might succeed or not. Anyone saying everything went to shit makes me want to punch, elbow and knee them really hard. Might be my Muay Thai background. @Shinji : Fuck haters. Entrepreneurs all over the world bare all the risk of change and development. We fuck up, we are the ones loosing our money and reputation. Our customers wont, we do. I hope you get fucking rich. On another note : Anime Members should of course be priority now, they are customers, not just members anymore. Remember that all money and gratitude comes through the hands and words of people. People are customers and they pay for a service. The service is what counts, nothing else. You are a servant now as everyone of us entrepreneurs. And while we are at it, you could very much serve me by resolving the issue around the streaming hickups. The ISPs or your pipes are just not fast enough for 720p with so many people right now it seems. Hope that gets resolved fast. All the luck to you and keep your 60-70 work week until this is done. Ultra hard, long work is the only thing that sets people apart. Some people just cant cut it. I hope you do. |

Thanks Shinji and gang for clarifying and putting up some information regarding the recent changes here. I believe that most CR users are eager to know the progress and the exact changes that would be affecting us all ( I know I am ). Hopefully the battle to allow all animes to be streamed on CR without regional restrictions would happen real soon. (*.*)
Does anyone knows where could I locate the list of animes that would be aired here? |

Could it be possible to hide videos unavailable in my region? I live in Belgium and a big part of this website is unavailable for me (including the ever popular Naruto) but it's a mess to find out which one works and which don't.
I also have an issue with the redrawing of watching rights for some regions: why would I pay for a subscription if I have no guarantee that the shows that I watch won't be withdrawn? This is a very dangerous precedent and can scare future members away... |
