Thats true. It was my mistake in the first place to bring up whose land it rightfully is, because now that is irrelevant. Anyway, Hamas fired rockets into Israel first, and in my opinion Israel is entitled to defend themselves. Although Israel may have taken their "defense" too far, I think it wasn't based on cruel intentions but rather a need for them to stand up for themselves. If you were Israel you would be scared shitless out there surrounded by enemies too. Luckily, Israel has been pulling out of Gaza since the ceasefire on Sunday.

Here's what happened (but what Rupert Murdoch never lkes to tell the public)
-Israel and Hamas are in ceasefire mode
-Israel blocks off the Gaza stri from much of the outside world
-Said blockade continues for 18 months, in an attempt to provoke Hamas to retaliate
-Hamas does not retaliate yet
-On November 4, Israel launches 'pre-emptive strikes' on Gaza
-Hamas begins to fire Qassam Rockets into Israel
-The Israeli Government waits till a little more than a month before elections and launches assault on Gaza to divert from their own terrible performance and to wipe away memories of the failed Lebanon campaign before elections.
-World is suckered into taking Israel's side.

Not that Hamas is in the right... they were too stupid and gullible for falling into such an obvious trap. They should have held out at least till the February elections got over...

Not just Fox every US media outlet covers Israel in a positive light they will never report on her bad side ever. Even when they broke the cease fire in november this event was never bought to us. The reason why America has such a favorable opinion is not because they choose to it is only because our media shows them one side of the story every time. If you keep seeing the same side over and over you start to agree with them. Had there been some type of meaning full debate or unbias coverage I believe the public opinion of Israel would be different just like ever other country. It was amazing how Vladmir Putin played into thehands "Oligarks"(6 out of the 7 were zionist jews) and when he became president of Russia he jailed one of them and kicked the rest out. He took back his country, gained control of the media and resources. Many of them living in exile I believe one or two living the good life in Israel. Whats so corrupt them is when an Israeli made a documentary on them they was boasting and bragging on how they was taking Russia resources and control of the media. Now why cant any brave american president do the same to the zionist who control all of our media and money

lol I watch all media outlets and make my own judgements. Al Jazeera had a Jewish New Yorker professor defending Israel the other day, and the anchor (the young, female one) was owning all his arguments left, right and center. He was babbling and raging by the end of his interview.

If you notice when you watch other foriegn outlets thats how usually every Israel official does when they cant answer a question. They get really angry and ask well why dont you ask hamas this or that. These questions Israel cant answer because they know their actions is very wrong and immoral. It is good that Al Jazeera has both sides coming on their program not like the USA media having the majority being either Israel officials or pro Israel supporters. I watch all media outlets. I only watch the ones in the west to see if any opposition will come on and when they do it is good to hear them answer every question and detail stunning the anchor.

President Barack Obama made the conflict in the Middle East his chief priority Wednesday in his first round of phone calls to foreign leaders.

Obama placed phone calls to four Middle Eastern leaders: President Mubarak of Egypt, Prime Minister Olmert of Israel, King Abdullah of Jordan, and President Abbas of the Palestinian Authority, the White House said.

"He used this opportunity on his first day in office to communicate his commitment to active engagement in pursuit of Arab-Israeli peace from the beginning of his term, and to express his hope for their continued cooperation and leadership," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said in a statement released Wednesday.

"In the aftermath of the Gaza conflict, he emphasized his determination to work to help consolidate the ceasefire by establishing an effective anti-smuggling regime to prevent Hamas from rearming, and facilitating in partnership with the Palestinian Authority a major reconstruction effort for Palestinians in Gaza," Gibbs said.

Doesn't anyone notice the phone cord is facing the wrong way? Pretty funny, but it is photoshopped and there was that imao mark on the picture, this was a joke I think that dates back from March 2008. Pretty good had me laughing then.

Religious propaganda concerning the conflict in Gaza have been released on large scale. They’re circulating throughout the Middle East. Osama Bin Laden released an audiotape urging Muslims around the world to unite in a genocidal holy war against the Jews. According to Osama it is their jihadic obligation. However, much of the ummah (Islamic population,) remains unconvinced by his zealous speech.

Muslims have begun speaking out against such an approach. In large part they seem to be pressing for the same resolution as the UN-a cease fire. Imams (Islamic preachers,) across Afghanistan have urged Muslims not to follow the commands of Osama Bin Laden. According to them all attacks must stop.

Habibullah Hesam, an imam of the Kabul Provincial council responded to Osama’s tape by saying, “Jihad is an obligation from God. All Muslims support this obligation as an order from God, not from individuals.”

Kabul citizens have condemned Israel’s attacks as cowardly, uncalled for, unacceptable, and unjustifiable. However, they make no effort to lynch Jews. Ironically, while Jewish denizens of Kabul seem able to go about their daily life, this isn’t true in all western nations.

Footage of a Jewish mother in the UK being mobbed by anti-Israeli protestors has been leaked. These protestors smashed through Jewish-owned stores and attempted to storm the Israeli embassy in the UK. Meanwhile in France Jews are afraid to attend worshiping ceremonies. Synagogues are being vandalized and attacked. Many of the assailants are supposed Muslims representing Islam, while others are merely anti-Jewish protestors.

Despite some rage amongst French Muslims Islamic institutions largely appose the vandalism. Imams have urged Muslims not to continue such attacks. A chain of Muslims schools has bound together in an attempt to teach elementary school children the valuable lesson of tolerance.

They’ve begun educating young Muslim boys and girls about the conflict, telling them that it is a conflict between Hamas and Israel but not Muslims and Jews. One teacher said, “We tell the children that people who do acts of graffiti or throw Molotov cocktails at synagogues are not doing this for Islam and do not represent Muslims and they pick it up fast.”

Does this trend suggest that peace between Muslims and Jews can be attained? Or will the religious bias lead Muslims to unconditionally condemn Jews for the actions of Israel continue? What are your thoughts and comments?

Personally I do think it’s strange that so many people are making this conflict a battle between Muslims and Jews. Even in the threads I created here I saw a lot of posts along the lines of “We Muslims know that the Jews are subjecting Palestinians,” or “Muslims can see that Israel stole that land from Palestinians.”

Honestly I don’t see what this conflict has to do with being a Muslim. There are Muslims living as citizens of Israel, and men of a certain age are obliged to serve in the Israeli army. There’s even an Islamic holly dome sitting on top of the ruins of the Jewish Temple of Jerusalem near the Wailing Wall. This is in the heart of Israel.

Americans are pretty divided on the issues. Some support Israel and others Hamas. There are more Muslims here than anywhere else in the world, and I don’t see how simply being a Muslim means that you’re automatically against Israel’s right exist as so many ‘Muslims,’ are claiming.

What are your thoughts?

are you muslim...cuz i totally agree with this ish

F....**** Osama bin s...* and all the other a...*h...** out there who think they know everything about Islam while in reality they don't know s...*!!!!!

I's so happy that someone finally had the courage to say something and to stand against O.B.L! BRAVO

Let me just point out once and for all that Jihad isn't about Islam vs. other religions/beliefs but on two other things:

- Big Jihad which is basically the inner fight you have with whether to believe in God or not. (like when you doubt about the existence of God)

- little Jihad which means that as a muslim you have the right to DEFEND yourself if someone attacks/say bad things about your religion.

The latter is what they have gotten totally and completely WRONG!!! I don't have ANYTHING against jews or any other religious beliefs whatsoever! What is important for me is the actions of each individual! menaing if a person is bad then I don't like that person!!

In western murder cases a common plea is “self defense,” because you can’t be arrested for defending yourself. Jihad is supposed to be self defense but it’s so easy to start a war and then say that you’re just defending yourself-or, in the case of Muslim nations-call it Jihad. Like israel and Hamas. Hamas starts a war for politics and justifies it through jihad.

This is not a religious issue at all. Religion is just a front, it's Jews vs Muslims/Arabs. It's just people fighting their oppressors. Very simple, religion may be a factor for certain individuals, but it's not for Hamas, and it's not for Israel and it's not for the US, in general.

But they're not calling it "self-defense" - For them Jihad means "war" or "Attack". They think that Jihad is "holy war" not "holy self-defense"...
And btw - they believe that by killing people they can enter paradise...how stupid is that? If they had taken the time to read the Quran instead of blowing up themselves, they would find that God has forbidden killing - and suicide! <-- these are like the MOST UNholy things you can do as a muslim...

Hamas didn't start any war and it has nothing to do with Jihad. Stop watching Fox News.
