And that was a nice story.. Very deep.
Thought that the ending was a bit incoherent though. A bit rushed, perhaps?

That's a genuinely good story and there is a lesson or two to learn from it.

Hey , you should post your last sentence on the top , because after I take more than five minute to read it and then see your last sentence, it's was too late , my eyes already hurt .

Wasn't a fan tbh. Was expecting something epic but never materialised.
Also his ending letter was a bit flaky. 'For fifteen years I have been intently studying earthly life. It is true I have not seen the earth nor men....' so his opinion of the earth and men was based on stories and second hand accounts from other people imaginations. Doesnt seem like the best starting point for an arguement "My opinion is other peoples opinion".
Though i agree with his opinions of the fleetingness of our time on the mortal coil and his general feeling about humanity, he assumes that his 'heaven' is real and better than the earth and claims he has full knowledge of the earth ' All that the unresting thought of man has created in the ages is compressed into a small compass in my brain'
Im not sure what im supposed to take away from this other than to not get locked away on my own for 15 years if i want to keep my sanity.

don't you think there was more to it than just that though? i think it also sends the messege that money cannot make you happy; selling you life away for something so worthless and then realizing it's worthlessness...isn't that so ironic??? i think it is.
