Once again an article about Horikita Maki's alleged not too good reputation. She's said to be arrogant at the set and to be the new "Queen" after Sawajiri Erika's pause from show business.

In September last year Sawajiri Erika bathed in the bashing from all kind of people for her bad behavior on stage while promoting her new film. A few days after that she personally apologized on her homepage and in a teary interview on TV. Since then she's been almost completely inactive as actress or singer, except for maybe 1-2 CMs from time to time. In January this year she went to London to study English and to live together with her lover, media creator Takashiro Tsuyoshi. Right now they are still there.

"I don't think that she'll act anymore. It's likely that she and Takashiro are going to marry in the near future. If that's it for her now, then I'm actually feeling a bit lonely without that domineering and sassy attitude." An entertainment writer commented.

However, the entertainment industry is full of people and so there already seems to be an actress that tries to claim the title of being the "Post-Sawajiri."
A reporter sheds light on who that could be. "It's Horikita Maki. The popularity she gained so far isn't good for her. She constantly gets spoiled and treated with kid gloves which turned her into a real arrogant person."

Horikita has been the most popular actress of 2008 with her roles in "Atsu-hime," "Innocent Love" and more than 9 different commercial contracts.
"It's been announced that she will be starring in the next movie of Hollywood director Hans Canosa called 'Nakushita Kioku (2009).' The movie is planned to get a cinema release in the US in 2010 as well. With that role Horikita will already accomplish to join the group of 'Hollywood Actresses.' " The same reporter explains.

It can be argued whether that achievement plays a role, but there have been a growing number of reports about Horikita's arrogant behavior.
An entertainment writer explains what's going on. "At the filming of "Innocent" she's constantly in a bad mood. When people like the assistant director or the guard greet her, there's no response from her whatsoever. Even during the actual filming, when the director seeks confirmation for some things she's said to ignore him."
There are also various reports of her coming to the dressing room only at the very last minute very often.
"She must be very tired due to her overcrowded schedule and if the people around her don't take measures quickly, it will only become worse from now on." Another reporter says.

It's said that "the best policy is to keep your head down," but is it the best for Horikita and her bad reputation as well? We'll continue to observe her words.
