I actually think there are amazing English voice actors, but they do tend to be 10 times better with North American cartoons than Japanese.

That's because there aren't any real mouth movement when the normal cartoon characters speak - most of the time, they just open and close their mouths, and that makes it really easy to dub. But for the anime, sometimes there have been made real effort in animating the character's mouths so that it looks good and fits the japanese language.
The problem with that, is that the english voice actors speak english, and not japanese, and so, cannot synchronize their voices with the mouth animation of the anime characters, which results in looking pretty odd sometimes.

I agree that there are a few amazing english voice actors out there, especially Dragonball, which was absolutely stunning

Still, I prefer japanese, because it usually fits my opinion of how an anime should be and sound like... (but I do think, that Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi had preetty odd voice actors sometimes (Kenichi and Siegfried >_>))

Yeah...so generally people always voice act best in their original language. I mean, just imagine Japanese voice actors doing SpongeBob. I watched it in Spanish and it was dreadful.
But I think people hate on English dubs far too much. Like I said, there are some that are on the same level as the original or even better, and some as people complain, are way worse. The ones that are really bad are the ones that don't have any effort put into them, they just throw a bunch of voices together regardless of it sounding bad. Now, Disney actually puts a lot of work into the Studio Ghibli films and they normally sound excellent.

Japanese fully man.

In the English dubs I feel that you lose certain emotion and humor. English can describe the feeling, but in Japanese the word is the feeling. You dig ?

I like it in English. Means I don't have to read every time someone speaks. "Authentic" my foot.

I guess it depends what you look for in an anime. I watch it cuz I'm fascinated with the graphics.

Same with me!

I prefer dub.
