patients are the first priority in a hospital so its understandable
unless the hospital was really small, the nurses should have different shifts rather than eat all at once

kangins comment however is just LOL

The patient is the first priority of a nurse. It doesn't matter If you havent eaten your lunch yet.
That is the golden rule of all nurse, parient first no before anything else

patient before anything else? are you sure?
so the nurse shld give her a jab just because she requested for it.
no need to wait for a doctor's proper consultation? has taeyeon said anything about seeing any doctor?
or is it so that nurses in korea have the authority to give any patient any kinda shot they requested for?
you know, perhaps the nurse asked her to wait because the doctor on shift is out for lunch or something.
the nurse can't possibly give her a shot just because the patient wanted it.

I meant patient first before oneself... that's their duty. Well atleast that's what my sister told me. She took nursing as her course.. so yeah

The comment I gave was based on the article that was written in this forum
" nurse told me to just lie down and wait, because it was lunch time."
But since it wasn't clear, there must have been a misunderstanding. If she told her to wait because it was lunchtime [period] then automatically one would assume that she'll be having her lunch. But if she added " wait because the doctor is having his lunchbreak or something then that would have been better.

Do you really need a doctor to receive a shot due to flu???

the article here is very ambiguious. nothing is clear.
'because it's lunchtime' but whose? the nurse's? maybe yes, maybe not.
maybe it's lunchtime so the doctors arent around to give her a medical consultation to decide whether or not she'll need a shot.
taeyeon is definitely not a doctor, i dont think the nurse can just give her whichever shot she insist on having without any doctor around. and from the article here, a doctor was obviously not mentioned.
oh well, maybe in korea doctors are really not required in such cases?!

oh well, everything was only out from taeyeon's mouth right?
perhaps the nurse did explain, but taeyeon didnt bother to elaborate.
we can't possible buy taeyeon's words 100% and put all the blame on the nurse and condemn her as an irresponsible worker.
perhaps antis are taking this opportunity to bash snsd all over again. but hey. the poor girl has only her own mouth to blame. nobody forced her to rant on a radio show with the whole korea listening to it. she can go bitch about how fat or ugly that particular nurse is to her fellow snsd members or suju oppas, but i thought she'd know better to rant publicly and happy present this opportunity for more bashings from antis, wrapped nicely and all.
and as whether do we really need a doctor to receive a shot due to flu...
well, we do not need the doctor to perform the task, but i believe a doctor is required to confirm that it's really flu and a shot is required.
imagine you're a nurse at a hospital and patients are just walking in and going straight to you, insisting that they're having a certain illness and demanding that you give them certain jab or medicine.
totally couldnt work that way, right? what if it didnt turn out to be flu? what if the patient has certain allergies to certain chemicals?
logical?

not everyone is hating her bcoz she's in snsd. it's becoz the reported article wasn't clear.

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon feels the heat
Taeyeon of Girls' Generation has been receiving quite a bit of heat due to her statements on her radio program with Kangin (MBC FM4U의 `강인 태연의 친한 친구`).

The Girls' Generation member who was in a great deal of pain due to the flu, vented her frustration about her incident at the hospital:

I went to the hospital to receive a shot because I was very ill with the flu. But when I arrived, the nurse told me to just lie down and wait, because it was lunch time.

But she was a nurse, instead of telling me to wait, couldn't she have just given me a shot?

I almost caused a scene, but I simply stated, 'How could you be like that,' and left. Is it a patients duty to be sick on time?

Kangin then stated:
Tell me which hospital it was. It looks like that nurse has lost her mind. She should just eat lunch forever.

When a patient is in pain, it's extremely frustrating to have to wait, especially because hospital workers have the worst attitudes ever..

Im pretty sure that she would have wait for another nurse to attend to her if she wasnt told that she had to wait for nurse to finish her lunch break. Which i dont know how long a lunch break is in korea but i know in america, since my aunt works in the hosptial that it can last til whole hour. Im not saying that Taeyeon was not wrong either she could have ask if there is someone else that she can go to but nurse was wrong if she really said to the patient wait till i finish my lunch break. That is not customer service 101.
