as long as the remakes are good i don't mind that much.

true have to agree with u there also.. if they're good and i like the drama i would definiatley watch it.. i mean different actors could definiately interpret and act differently.. so i guess it all depends

i think you mispelled the word "definitely"

it's "definitely"

not "definiatley"

..............

haha i wasnt paying attention i was just typing n a hurry so mispelled it thats all.. definitely..

i'm only a fan of the taiwanese version, the manga, and the anime but i have to say that it's better if there are more adaptations. it just means that hana yori dango is a good manga... being adapted into many other kinds of media and all.

Bring on the remakes.
It's always nice to see what everyone else is thinking about the show.
Plus, it's almost as much of a task as creating an original story.... I mean, they have to make it fresh and new to audiences who have already watched the other versions! That's partly why I seriously applaud the KVersion of HYD/MG... they are so owning it and making it their own. They definitely added a Korean spin to it.... I like it a lot

As far as HYD is concerned - I would watch the other remakes too... I mean I read the manga, watched the anime, watched MG and HYD... I'm in for the long hull!

Hmmm? but that will be very good for the mangaka, right? I watched the Taiwanese one when I was still in elementary and I liked it (a little). Then in Highschool, i watched the Japanese one and I got so addicted to it that I bought so many DVDs of it just for collecting it. Also, it was the one that introduced me to Japanese Entertainment and JE. HAHA. The Korean version released but I didn't watch it yet. Rather, I don't plan to watch it. The story, well, no matter how they change things in the plot, there's still going to be F4 so I'll just stick to mu uber hot Jun Matsumoto. ^^

I'm Filipino and It's not that I'm discriminating, but, seriously? ABS-CBN should just make their own original plot. Besides, the budget for Filipino dramas IS VERY low compared to Japan and Korea and It'll just end up the very WORST Hana Yori Dango Version Ever! So they need to realize that our country is poor and need to film some cheaper dramas. ^^

and beside, you're forgetting something.. these dramas?? they're only popular in the net world (ok, maybe a small part in the net world).. but do you really think they're popular in the real world?

Actually, they are popular in the real world.

Maybe not as much in Europe or North America (although North America is home to many Asian-Americans, like myself, who hear about it through family or their home country channels, and there are quite a few Asians in Europe as well... like myself XD), but do not discount the fact that Asia is the largest and most populous continent in the world. Following that, Asian dramas often get shown in different countries (example: the Philippines airs Taiwanese, Japanese and Korean dramas - have they included Mainland Chinese yet? lol - and if you remember, "Meteor Garden" was a ridiculous success over there) so these dramas get a huge audience in the "real world."

it depends actually....MG is a phenomenal hit in Asia.....Both were shown in my country....n Hyd wasn't that popular compared to MG...but I think HYD is more pop. n widely loved in the net.
I don't know with the other countries who had aired hyd--ive researched , but i think Hyd wasnt that famous...

If I were the creator of the manga, I would be very very flattered that there are so many directors and viewers are interested in the creation. I don't know how many version that is out there other than Meteor Gardens, HYD, and the Korean version. I watched HYD first and totally loved it and saw parts of MG. I am watching the Korean version now, but still like HYD better. I like the charatecrs in HYD better and the actor of Tsukino(?) does a better job than Goon Pyo(?)
I'd watch the Taiwanese version if I could stand the accent; its abit squeaky, sharp and fast. Other than that, other dramas from the Asian spectrum I would not care to watch. Maybe Vietnamese (if there is ever a day/possibility) since I am Viet.
I would like to see an American/European version because they have different techniques, effects, and more modern events that we heard/seen/been through (like prom and such). To top it off, it would be a huge success for the creator of Boys over Flower. The success of a manga.
