Uuumm...where did you obtain this information? Because from what I'm aware of, the 70's is the most lovable decade. Which includes fashion.
-Sunglasses
-Prints
-Wacky earrings
-Platform shoes
-Jackets
-Mixed colours
-Tight jeans with wide pant legs
-Those puffy hats

The list goes on and on.

Did you not see the pictures above? -____-

Oh come on! I'll agree that some of the stuff were awesome, like the Werner Panton things, but the colors... Orange and yellow and brown! -_-'

Personally, I'm thinking of the horrid colors of my kitchen, built in the seventies, before we remodeled. There were loads of these light olive green tones, and then brown, orange, and this hideous mustard yellow.
The clothes are found to be unattractive now because we're interested in a different body shape now than before. It's changing all of the time. Consider those awful waist-high pants of the eighties and nineties; no one wears that sort of thing anymore because our tasted have changed.

=\ ..Waist high pants came back.
What's the new body type structure? Huge, fake boobs, a waist you could wrap your arm over twice, and some botox ass? -_- I personally find the clothes then very flattering.

Yeah so?
Are you going to base the entire 70's fashion on just her post?
Allow me to post MY 70's picture.

The pants thing is true, but they're tailored now, as to not make butts look hideously deformed, or our hips and thighs to look like a female superhero's.
And, honestly, I'm just making commentary on the majority of culture. I'm appreciative of a reasonable and natural shape, but our culture looks toward an unnatural fit.

I know. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be rude (well..maybe I was a little) but I watch a lot of 70s shows, and the clothes I've seen were very flattering, so I've got to disagree there.

Perhaps, it's because some of our parents were teenagers and seeing them in their clothes makes us shiver w/ fear.

I think we should all go back and dress like the 20s.

or late 19th century.

that would be "the berries."

Damn I hate flares...
but 70's and retro stuff is kinda coming back into style, a little. Not the whole clothes, mainly accessories like those giant glasses nearly bigger than your actual head, and those short floral dresses.
