I'm sick of seeing people all of a sudden trying to include his "white" side.

If he robbed a bank, shot someone, or was joe blow (aka a nobody)

hmmm I wonder what color people would say....hmmm...BLACK

"A black male robbed the local qwik E mart more at 11"

Any one else find it utterly hilarious at how people try to take away from Obama by pointing out his whiteness like this some how make its easier or explains how a "colored" could be in the White house.

ugh so annoying.

News flash noids, I guarantee you go back far enough and all those "black" folk you run into (or for those in foreign countries that see stereotypes on tv that you apply to the rest of us) *gasp* have white in their blood line. And some even more. Exactly why i can't understand why people hate on us so much. You know what race I'm classified as BLACK, does it matter that I also have other ethnic groups in my blood line other then African. NO.

So just because its his mother that is white. doesnt change anything. Heck he doesnt even have that so called "good" hair. I didn't know hair could behave badly. >.>

Seriously though just annoys me.

Oh no

He sure is black :p

He also seem quite competent and intelligent and like he's putting more thoughts behind his choices than many of the previous presidents.. Really looking forward to see if he can achieve something.

thats racism..

and it gets tiring.. and its nonsense.

so what if the pres is black?

dun worry, the people who say that are obviously narrow minded.

And well, yes. That he is black is a huge thing considering how things used to be. Cause while making a big deal of his skin color may seem completely unrelated to his work as a politician, it is a huge thing in america and I hope it can have an impact so people will start treating black people for what they are, other people.

Okay. Thanks for that random rant. I don't think anyone cares about his "white side"
If anything, his black side is all the rage.
Where do you see people pointing out his white side to prove that's why he was chosen as a president?
If anything, wasn't he chosen because he's black?

(Not saying people voted for him just because he's black. I think he's a fairly good leader as well. )

yes, he is a good leader.. though he's not my president.. but the rise or fall of america WILL affect my poor, poor country..

but it's sickening that people tend to judge others based on the color of their skin.

this is a new age. its a time for change. and i know racism will never go away.
but there's nothing people can do to stop what's going to happen.

because...life is dynamic, constantly changing.

When a black person and an Asian person have a child you can tell that the child is a mix of both most of the time. Same with a Caucasian and an Asian person. But when a black person and a white person have a child... it's either one extreme or the other. It's hard to tell. They're either white enough to pass as white or they're dark enough to pass as black.

He looks black. He's half Kenyan. But he's half white and half African American. I don't care what color his skin is. Personally I feel that if we had an African American man who proved himself to be worthy enough, we would have voted in an African American man earlier.

Regardless, there were a lot of African Americans who voted for him solely because he is black. There were a lot of white folk who didn't vote for him solely because he is black. Such is life.

But he's half white, he had a white grandmother that just died. What's wrong with that? It's typical knowledge.
