Yikes. And I was hoping we’d left those tragedies behind last year… (I debated whether to post this, as Kim Seok-kyun is not known and has a very sparse resumé — an internet search reveals almost nothing about his work. His death, sadly, is making news not so much because he is famous — he isn’t — but because it continues the chain of celebrity suicides we saw start late last year.)

Kim Seok-kyun was found dead in his home on January 17, having committed suicide through hanging. He left behind a note saying, “I’m sorry to my family. Please forgive me.” Ironically, the message on his mini-homepage reads: “Suffering makes me stronger…”

At 30 years old, Kim got a late start on his acting career with a short film when he was 26, which he followed with several more shorts, but has remained largely unknown. It’s speculated that his suicide came as a result of depression over his stagnant career and a series of failed film and musical auditions

aiya not another one. poor ppl. if they're depressed they need to seek out some sort of support group or something. nothing is so bad that it's worth killing urself over. *sigh* i thought the string of korean celeb suicides had stopped already but i guess it was too good to be true

this is sad...another one
This is why people need to stop fully identifying their jobs as themselves..u may be a teacher or an actor or a bus driver but that isnt all of what u are. When a person sees that their career is everything and they are, they begin to lose sight of other aspects that makes them....and if u lose that job/fail u become so devastated and believe theres nothing else out there....RIP
