I think it's life on speed, over exaggerated, or more like how it plays out in our heads.

It would be pure coincidental if events actually pertain to manga or anime it's self, if all else, as always is pure fiction.

before in my old school you couldn't kiss in public, and when they found out you did then your parents would be called and the couple would be asked to break up. harsh huh?

anyway on topic, yeah, mangas or animes are a tad bit exaggerated but it does show a lot of japanese culture in it.

that would suck.....and where is this? the place where the whole break up thing is?

It's in the Philippines. Before I moved to the US, I used to study in a Catholic School in the PI, and it was one of those strict-because-it's-old-and-traditions-are-important type of school, so yeah.

well I live in Japan, and I can tell you from my 4 yrs experience, that anime and manga are 80% real, only the things that might be impossible for human to do are fiction. Because starting from the silly costumes, continuing with the indirect kiss and not kissing in public, to men dressing like women, they all do that and not only people from Tokyo. I have attended new years parties where they have employees dress like women to entretain, and they have the female employees dress like bar girls.
I just have to go out on the streets so see the crazy way they dress, and even in magazines they advertize eye operations for the japanese girls that want their eyes as big as the anime girls (I have seen a couple of girls that have done that, and I feel sorry for them )
The uniform thing is also everywere the girls have 2 uniforms, one long for the school and one short for the street.
The life inside a japanese school is prety much as they describe in normal animes, they stay there the entire day, do club activities, and the ones that are good at sports have all the girls behind him, no matter how ugly to our western standards he might be.
Uhm.... what else... there are so many crazy things I have seen here, they have festivals to the erotic parts of the body, have love hotels that even minors can access withouth any problems, as there is no vigilance. The fetish about the woman paties is also real, same as lolicon complex. Women are allowed to marry at age 16 but are not allow (legally) to have sex outside marriage until the age of 20, although in Japan if you are still a virgin after the age of 15 you have problems or are an unatractive person.
Here is the country where you can find girls that become prostitutes because they want money to pay the male host for flattering
well I will need a full book to explain all the things that I have seen in Japan, and I cann tell that in 6month there is not enough time to learn, I have 4 yrs and still don't know many things and everday get many surprises. In simple words, this country is so complicated and different for western society than only by being born here (and live as a japanse" if you don't physically like like one you are out"), only that way you can understand what this country is about.

Animes kind of happen sometimes in my life though it maybe sometimes.

When i was a freshman, my friends were joking at each other then the other guy got angry he took the dustpan and chased my classmate halfway at school. Still that guy who was chased around was smiling like an idiot. There were lot of senior students doing a speech choir presentation and they passed at the front of the seniors.I bet you those seniors are saying in their mind those freshmen are undisciplined Also that time when my classmate told me that anime has no similarity to reality that kind reminded me of anime were some people said that. That person just made his statement false by telling me that and then he tried to weasel his way by saying things that didn't really mean anything just to escape the trap made for himself . He really didn't want to admit defeat so he said" i don't wanna hear another word from you" in funny manner
