Have you ever loved someone so much that you become really sad or really ill- because it was unrequited?
if so, what happened?

Altruism does not exist and love is a fallacy.

Where is your god now?

I wouldn't expect love to make you ill unless it is unrequited love, then yes, that makes sense. Lovesick isn't a very happy feeling either, but overall, love should make you feel good. Love should make you smile just to think about the person you love. It should make you a stronger person. It should make you miss that other person when you're apart so much that when you're together again, everything else seems to not matter. Love should make you forget about all your problems when you can just be in your significant other's arms.

But sick? No. That's not love. That could be lust. I know, I've been there. I thought I loved someone who lived far away and I was sick with longing, but that wasn't love. That was selfish of me, it was lust and greed.

Unrequited love (when you can't admit or when the other person doesn't love you back) can be considered an obsession and it can make you ill, it's been proven.

But why ask this question? Do you need advice?

Eh... no. I just wanted to see how other people felt too.
I've loved someone for a year now... he doesn't know and I haven't even made gestures to show that I do but anyways... I got bored and wanted to see what other people would say

13 isn't bad. If you said you were 11 then we'd have an issue.

And for the record, this is a valid question!

Anyways, I read a lot of love stories (sad ones not the type where this guy likes this girl and then these other people interfere) but one written by George Elliot, it was about a young woman who fell in love with this man so dearly but he loved another and he killed himself. In the meantime this other man loved her very much, but the feeling was so strong, it was unrequited. The ending made me cry.

.Uhm, is it really love? Because people are just sometimes in love with the fact that they have someone to love. Don't make it turn out to be a drama or something.
