I'm personally not a fan, but it's always been seen as cool and rebellious...something that goes hand in hand with the fashionable leather jackets too. (I'm sure you know the stereotypical biker is a smoker)
Tbh, I wouldn't say being rebellious is something that goes in and out of fashion.
I prefer lollies. Not as rebellious but a lot cuter. xD
