I play as both, generally. I find male characters always look cooler anyway.

As for pretending to be a woman? I don't think that's really possible. Deceiving others into thinking your a woman would be possible, I suppose. The anonymity of online games - especially MMO's - makes it a possibility.

They refer to it as "roleplaying".

I refer to it as .. creepy.

This reminds me, It was a couple years ago... I don't even know how I met him but this guy would play as a female character and told basically everyone he was a female.

Why did he do it?

Free Stuff.

He was good, He'd get cash shop stuff and high equips from tons of males.



Two or three guys actually fell in love with "her".

Guess I was an accomplice of sorts, I knew he was a male but never told.. Well...I told one guy because he was a friend of mine and he was getting a little "too close" to him/her.

Thinking about him, I kind of miss him.

I usually use Female's for avatar's, or for RPG's and stuff. I'm not homosexual, it's just a preference. Plus they usually have the best stuff. Lol.
I actually took advantage of it, since my 360 Gamer Profile is a girl. Seeing how pathetic guy's are who treat girl gamers like a god was quite the irritation, so every now and then, I'll mess with them. It's pretty entertaining. Especially the free stuff, and special treatment XD. Though, I got rather bored of it sooner or later. It's just funny how Whipped guys can be online to girls online, lol.

i don't understand why people hate that...

if i play a MMO i play the charatcher there, "mostly female" because they look more awesome than any guy with either a gun or a blade -.-
and "play" as the female is just part of role play. if they play a female just to get "help" form other players or some gifts then ye i don't really like them either. Still don't see why it's "bad" to play a female just because you're a male

that's probably mostly true, but i'm sure there are those that pretend to be girls in mmos because people give girls free stuff. that's not creepy that's just smart

Pretending to be a woman, kinda creepy. However using a character model that is the opposite gender? What's wrong with that? Some times I play male characters online, I don't care. It's aesthetics and its a game.
