Some people deny that it's Chinese New Year and say that it's actually Lunar New Year
Last year, me and my friend had a "little" fit about it

Do you feel the same way?

If its called Chinese New year, it doesn't mean it restricts all race except the Chinese to celebrate it.

lunar new year is the just the term for the new year according to the chinese calendar. chinese new year is the holiday and celebration day that accompanies the lunar new year.

there are also vietnamese new year (tet) and korean new year.

most people are most familiar with chinese new year because that is the one with the moon cakes, lion dances, and kung fu performances. viet and korean new year have some differences.
