Galaxy Express is a very beautiful and important part of anime history,its so nice to see crunchyroll providing this anime classic along with the new stuff for the younger fans.
I only wish there was more information provided for us on when and if the series will be fully tranlated and completed, and also the reason episode 59 was skipped,thats my only criticism so far.

If your a fan of this show please keep asking(and begging if need be!) for this classic to be completed on crunchyroll,if they do complete this show I will be fully impressed and know crunchy roll is really onto something here.

So let make sure this get finished guys!!!

I agree 100% but I'm worried that by the absence of episode 59 and the fact that no admin will comment on this. Also, there used to be a site called scriptclub back in the day, and they had subtitles for the first 60 or so episodes - I just hope these aren't the ones used here and that they will sub the whole thing.

I agree. I've wanted to see this series most of my life. Episode 36 is as far as I got, so at least we got further than that. I really hope they complete it.

I'm with you! Galaxy Express 999 is easily my favorite anime... even to the point of making sure when I go to Japan in November, I move heaven and earth to ride the GE999 roller coaster! It's such a marvellous and melancholy meditation on what it means to be human, and with a spacefaring steam train to boot.

So far I've gotten up to episode 30 on fansubs, and can make due with this only if they go all the way. Otherwise it's a dirty trick to kill the licence and then bury the show.

I hope to see all of the episodes get subtitled as well. Half way this quickly is pretty good though, so I'm hopeful. (: To see the rest of this anime is the only reason I joined this site.. I had been going to Live-eviL for new subbed episodes and finally came across the blog post about the licensing, hah. I was thinking I was going to have to settle with the raws.

Yeah this show is the only reason I joined this site too. And so far, TOTALLY worth the money. I only wish we had some official feedback on what the plans are for the remaining episodes. I really hope to see this series completed

Does anyone know who and how we can contact some one from crunchyroll
about new episodes being subtitled.

A serious company that want its paying customers to be happy should
tell the truth and be helpful with our questions.

Great!

Any word on the rest of the series? What about the specials or the movies? Just what sections of the "Leijiverse" did Crunchyroll get the rights to stream?

Do you know of the schedule for the rest of the series?

I'd normally be more patient, but I've almost seen this series many times, only to have it cut short.

Neato mosquito! It looks like you took just about the reverse course that we have planned for one of our days. We've got a pottery workshop in the morning, after which we're going to the EPSON Aqua Stadium. From there we're taking the train to Odaiba and touring around there until we catch the Himiko back to Asakusa, where our ryokan is.

So how was it? ^_~

It was awesome! I got to ride the Shinkansen (best ride ever!, hope you will be riding it too, you wont regret it). I'm happy California could get one of their own.

heh yeah it was reversed course.
