The 24-episode series will split its story into two parts. One production rep said, “Although we’re producing 24 episodes, the first 12 will be the story of the characters in high school, while 13 through 24 will show them as university students. We’ll be telling completely different stories [in the second part], similarly to how the Taiwanese and Japanese series did it.”

However, they won’t be totally aping the previous dramas: “We’re not quite sure yet what form it will take, but the story will unfold differently from the Japanese and Taiwanese versions.”

This jump in time corresponds to the entrance of Jun-pyo’s fiancée, played by Lee Min-jung (above), who will make her first appearance in Episode 13.

Wait, 8 episodes have been released so far...the part where
....that was supposed to be after the famous "if you fight back, makino will get hurt" scene...where he gets all beat up. I was looking forward to that one.

Does that mean, they wont be making that scene?? (

Um, Jun-pyo’s fiancée??? More dramatic, I guess. I hope they won't turn it into a dramatic and heart-broken drama like other typical K-drama. So far (up 'till ep. 8 now) I enjoy this drama very much. Lee Min Ho is just awesome. He has irresistible charm!!! I'm crazy about him.

i think it's because the shinhwa school has schools all the way from kindergarden to university. maybe that's why the whole school is called shinhwa college or something. but they DEFINATELY look more like university students than high school students

Agreed. When I saw that in HYD I was just baffled as to why another situation had been thrown in. It just came off as pointless to me, save as a way to repeat a popular scene. I'd rather see a more fluid plotline, rather than reason after reason keeping them apart, with little to link the events.

At least his memory loss happened toward the middle/end of HYD 2

In MG2, the accident happened in the first episode. He lost his memory, and didn't remember her until around the 29th episode. You can imagine how much of a drag that was.
