are you asking like...
is it right for one to choose a lover due to their race?

alot of families like in the middle east and various countries require their children to marry the same race. other parents just "suggests" or "prefers" so. Their cultures play a large role in this particular situation. I have a friend who is forbidden to date outside her race or religion, its a sad thing. for one, shes very limited and she doesn't get the opportunity to enjoy life. for two, its a miserable and sorrowful feeling to be controlled like that.

idc. i marry whoever i want. theres no stopping me. lol.

and if i misinterpreted the topic - oops.

It's okay to if you prefer some other race over another, it's not like you despise the other races, it's just what you preference. It's like choosing Kit Kat over Reeses... not exactly like that, but you get the point haha.

that's what i thought they meant too,

my answer is no,

i knew this woman who choosed to marry someone based on their race because she wanted her children to be socially excepted, so yes they came out looking how she hoped yet at the same time she married a jerk and now the whole family is in counseling----

something that could have been avoided if she didn't try to please society

A lot of people don't really have a choice.

My culture doesn't allow me to marry anyone who isn't Tamil. Which really sucks. Strict cultures like this prevents a lot of us from doing things. Like live our lives. Heck...I'm not even allowed to date.

But I do know is...

I will marry whoever I please. No matter what color their skin is...and no matter who is against it.

That's honestly a good question.
I just hate it when situations like this happen: A guy/girl meets a girl/guy that has a great personality and everything that they would want in a partner. They have a great time together and enjoy each others company. However, because that guy/girl is not the race they prefer, they wouldn't go any further with them than just being friends, which sucks for the second party because they might even like them. The racial preference is like a blockade. It's sort of like when people only hang out with people of a certain race, but they could make great friends if they branched out too. Because of situations such as the above, I don't particularly agree with it =/.

On the other hand, I definitely get that people do have racial preferences because they prefer one races features over another and all that jazz.(Not trying to be contradictory; just saying)

who cares its the person decision.
I personally date anyone regardless of there race but some people are more picky or are just attracted to a certain race

There's nothing wrong with being more attracted to one race or another, one can't really help that. It would be silly to exclude someone because of their race though.

Lol, must suck to be handled like that. I don't think you're ready to have a relationship if you're going to be forced to love someone because of <x>.

But no, I dont think it's right. It isnt love at all.

Eh, I used to like American boys better, but now I like Asian boys better. My next boyfriend is probably going to be Chinese, because American boys don't really attract me much anymore. So I'd choose Asian over American. It's not being racist or anything, that's just how it is.

My parents would prefer me marry a Chinese guy, but if I married a rich smart good-looking American boy they wouldn't really mind either.
