King of the Hill is being cancelled and taken off air to make room for the new Family Guy spinoff, The Cleavelands. As if Family Guy didn't suck enough on it's own.

It's a satire on suburban Americana. People on CR obviously won't like it since they care about superficial parts of animation since they like anime, drama, and/or asian pop stars. The show makes fun of itself, gives realistic messages, is somewhat feel-good, and isn't full of itself. I like the fact that it's more real life oriented than other cartoons that depend on over-the-top situations and attractive/flashy animation.

they could have made it a GOOD satire, or at least a funnier one

It's not that great but it's okay in my opinion. And I think there's nothing wrong if it's made for nednecks or any other group in general. I mean, they should have different shows for all demographics. But it's canceled for a reason. It's probably on Adult Swim because the ratings weren't that bad and a lot of late shows on Adult Swim don't appeal to a lot of people as well. They usually seem to appeal to the gamer/cyber crowd.

But I liked Beavis and Butthead because they're crazy

I LOVE Beavis and Butthead.
King of the Hill's okay. I used to like it a lot more.
It is pretty surprising that they're airing it on Adult Swim, though.

So I know there are some people here who think they're right and everyone else is wrong, but come on. What might be good to someone might not be good to others, but that doesn't make it BAD. =_=

And I think it was a good satire. It was practical. And I think it was just funny enough. Compared to all of these silly shows that don't make much sense, King of the Hill is like something new.

in my opinion they make their satire too obvious. (it is for rednecks after all) i mean at least kinda hide it a bit, kinda like southpark's satire on global warming with the episode manbearpig. too bad global warming was real after all

just saying king of the hill writers don't think out their show much. they get a good idea and instead of building on it they just rush things together and bam they have an episode...not good enough to impress me. might let em go if they have some funny things in it but even that gets repetitive. every episode its always some liberal who pisses hank off, then hank proves liberals wrong through his "conservative texan way" i bet 90% of the shows are like that

I appreciate the fact that you still make the attempt to be logical with me.

But I honestly think King of the Hill is an entertaining show. Some people may not like it and choose to criticize it like it's some intellectual comedy show. In reality it's nothing like that. It's just a simple show that makes people laugh. Obviously it's done a pretty good job of that considering it's lasted as long as it has.

Edit: Just read your edit and it has become apparent to me that you haven't actually seen more than one or two episodes so your opinion on the matter shouldn't count

Why do you keep saying it's for rednecks? =\ More like, it's about them.
