At first when I watched Inuyasha, I wanted to go to Japan since I was weird, and believed in the whole storyline and all. xD ^^ I actually went to Japan, and followed a tour group... and it was so boring. x__x; After that I wasn't that into Japan anymore, but I think that if I actually got to travel around on my own I would like it more. But ever now and then, after I watch more and more anime, I want to go back to Japan even more. ^^; Hehe!

Ya you didnt know that usa is the number one global tought history class. They dont teach it right though. They always end each lesson with something like that is why usa is blood mongering brutes. They are only after money and will do anything to get it to take over the world. Thats why all armercians are all fat stupid and lazy. It really pisses me off thats how the world feels about us. They just cant deal with loseing to fat lazy bastards all the time i guess :). So got to try to one up us someone how lol

I think this approach counters America's approach to their own history. The history books in America seem to almost always portray America as the "good guys" and rarely, if never, show the faults.

I wonder if you guys realize that a lot of the Japanese do not like outsiders and that the country is considered fairly "racist". 'The Japanese' do not welcome even Koreans, Chinese, and other Eastern-Asian peoples into their country kindly.

Well i dont think that is true to everywhere in jap. My grandmal went there and was treated very kindly and loved that place. Also some place in jap love amercians and are in love with our things. Just like we love anime and other things about there country. Just because there are some places like that dont throw the whole country in there. I mean just like there are places in amercia where whites, and latain amercains are hated and most likely get shot at or attacked if they go.

That is not true in our history books they make sure to point out the faults of amercia so the next generation can learn. They also point out the fact that you say. That history is history but it is also made up. It all depends on who writes it really. So always take history with a grain of salt if you know what i mean.

The history books point out only part of the faults. They will not admit the large faults that the country has committed. The textbook condenses the material, and leaves out the faults (notably the 'Indians/Native Americans'). It is also important to point out that many teachers who teach American history did not actually major in history in college (therefore a lack of knowledge in the subject).

Also, while the 'Japanese' as a country do not like foreigners, many will be polite to the foreigners. Overall, Japan is a very racist country.

The Japanese won't usually hire foreigners because they think they will cause trouble. The Japanese are also a very proud country and believe they are above other cultures (which is why they keep foreigners' cultures away). Asians who move to Japan have been forced to change their name to a Japanese name because they were not accepted.

If you are a child in Japan, your situation is even harsher. Foreign children are bullied by the Japanese and the school administration and parents of the Japanese do not often discourage this behavior.

"Japan has a strong sense of self and other -- in and out. Japanese society is best described as a set of concentric circles. If you are in -- you are in and there are no barriers. If you are out -- everybody is polite to you if they perceive you to be hierarchicaly superior or equal -- watch out if you are below -- the rudeness is astonishingly brutal and unfeeling."

Where the hell did you go to school. That is a major debate on things we do military wise because we discuess how we were at fault. I am also part native american so i take affence to you insulting everything. Not only the past of my country but the furture also. You are wrong and just one of those foreign people that like to start shit with americans over the internet. You people make me sick. I dont know why you always try to fight me over the internet like you guys know it all. Just drop it you are wrong and insaulting to my country.

Also notice how you left out half the quote that proves my point. Altough some spots my be. Not all of them are.

Also what country do you live in that should make you such a experit on jap? Also have you ever been and if so when was the last time?

Cursing does not prove a point at all. I'm sorry if I insulted you (because I never meant to), but from what I know about the American history system (and I did take it in America by the way -- twice too, at two different schools). I also have American citizenship and have grown up mostly in America. My experiences guide my judgement.

Hm, so I should quote everything you type? I don't exactly see you quoting me either.

I am South Korean and live in America currently. I have many friends who live in Japan or who have visited Japan and lived there for a period. If you look up things on the Internet, even the Japanese themselves will admit to being somewhat racist towards other countries. That is because they are trying to preserve their own culture.

What makes you the expert on Japan thepen? You stated earlier that "They always end each lesson with something like that is why usa is blood mongering brutes."

Honestly, I was just pointing out the faults in your quote above and trying to remind those that they may not have the experience they wanted in Japan if they visit. I know some that did not. Those especially who call themselves 'otakus' will have an even more difficult time. I am reminding everyone that anime is not watched by everyone in Japan. That is like stating that all Americans watch sitcoms.
