There's a lot more than just anime. They got lots of manga, visual novels, games, and loads of merchandise related to anime. And don't forget the manga magazines. But I wouldn't go over there just for that. There's websites like

Country has 1 heck of a transit system. Ride some of the high speed, inter- and suburban trains. Visit the usual tourist sites then get snockered on sake with the interpreter before starting the search for Godzilla. He's out there somewhere. I just know it 'cuz Elvis said so.

I want to go because I enjoy Japan's interesting history, I want to see historical sites and such. Also, I wanna go to the Hello Kitty store they have there and try all of their cool snacks and buy Vocaloid CDs.

I may like to visit for the historical sites, someday. And the mountains. Other than that, I see little reason to go there... (I'm not too fond of Japanese food or their modern-day culture, unfortunately.)

Not really :/ In my early animu freak years I was like YES LET'S GO! But now I'm just like.. eh. It's kind of funny actually; I'm president of the animu club at my school, and I have this one group of girls who have that exact attitude. It's a little like looking into the past X)
It'd be nice to go, don't get me wrong, but I'd rather go somewhere else first. I just want to go OUT OF THE COUNTRY *rage*
I want to try the futons, I want to go to that suicide forest, try the food, see the cherry blossoms. You know the cultural stuff.
Not saying I wouldn't head to Akihabara. I would definitely go there.
I think it'd be cool to compare all the things I've seen in animes to actual Japan.

Well, I've already been there before and that was way before I started liking anime. It just so happened that I started liking anime (which happened to be from Japan).

I was sort of interested in going before, but now I've started watchibg Anime, Iwould be more intrested in going to experience the culture, etc.
But I can't escape the feeling that if I did go I would be disappointed when it turns out to be completely different to what I had imagined.
