Who do you think is the smartest/strongest Akatsuki member out of these

I think it's Kakuzu because when he was fighting shikamaru and etc... He was analysing a lot of their moves and counter-attacking accordingly... I also like his ability because he can use all chakra affinities and he has killed many shinobi and lived to be 91 so he has a lot of wisdom and experience. But I think his love of money acts as a weakness for him because it makes him seem like a shallow person but then again he is in akatsuki, so what can you expect.

yea he sometimes looks goofy, funny and childish but he's still Madara... only in disguise....

battle wise i can only judge those who have fought, but i agree that kakazu was the more knowledgable fighter.

Overall the most influential is Tobi (Madara) because even though Pain is the the leader it is Tobi who is pulling the strings

Tobi is the smartest and most powerful. He secretly ran Akatsuki, while playing the role of the fool. Kakuzu is my favorite member (or was), but Tobi is in a different league than the other Akatsuki and that's saying something.

I want to say Itachi but I think that Madara is stronger.
