Somehow, I didn't believe it when he mentioned fighting the Shodaime Hokage but you have to admit, he doesn't look his "age." I guess it is just because of the multiple heart transplants (I know...bad, bad, bad).

Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show Itachi was pretty unique in the fact that he hated violence and war, he hated so much that he himself became what he hated and sacrificed everything basically for Sasuke. In a lot of fights we saw Itachi in, he had a reserved defensive fighting style, he never went on the offensive really, if he did I reckon he would have been a lot more lethal, to the point he could of owned almost anyone. Plus in the battle between Sasuke, Itachi was suffering from a disease, he went blind halfway through, he wasn't even trying to kill Sasuke, and still technically won. Just before he died he had Sasuke cornered, we thought he was gonna try and take his eyes but he instead he did the nostalgic poke to the forehead. In short, if Itachi ever fought to actually kill or hurt, he would have been impossible to beat.

Wisdom from previous failures fighting the first Hokage of Konoha of the Senju clan, knows how to slowly break down his enemies and comrades until he can manipulate and reap the benefits. Strong enough to stop Suigetsu's sword singlehandedly with his arm. Is decietful because he is able to put on the facade of the carefree Tobi whilst he is planning mass destruction patiently and meticuously.
