Who do you think is the smartest/strongest Akatsuki member out of these

I know sasori wasn't strong in the end, but he had like an outside pupet and after that broke then he controlled a pupet and he used himself as a puppet so i think that was really clever

Pain is strongest.Becouse pwnd %70 of Konoha with Shinra Tensei and his eyes(Rinnegan) can turn all creatures into dust.Am I right?

-he`s controlling the akatsuki anonimously
-he has sharingan
-he is madara
-and madara is the first pure blooded UCHIHA
-so he has to be the strongest amongst uchihas
-and madara is a half blooded demon

Nagato/Pein because he has the strongest kekkei genkai in manga. The rinnegan belonged to the creator of all ninja fighting styles and technqiues, so if a person had these eyes, he of course has to be the strongest of all. I know he died and all, but he wasn't killed by anyone, just his bodies that he used. Also for anybody who says tobi/madara, must not forget that he was defeated by the first hokage Hashirama Senju and then defeated by the fourth Minato, so he can't be the strongest if he was beaten and supposedly killed I know that he still survived all these years by hiding, acting like an imbecile, is an immortal,and technically gives oreders to pein, but I still say Nagato/Pein is the strongest

yeah that does make a ton of sense to go with but what about
Itachi ... although i know madara has better sharingan i havent actually seen it...although
sometime Itachi can seem pathetic again Pein,
But then again 1 of Peins men was taken down way too easily in todays ep [133]
although they do collectively deliver 1 hell of an evil attack =]

To be honest, I think that Zetsu is probably the most intelligent of the lot of them...
He never puts himself in a situation where his life is at risk (at least, not as far as I know), and is clearly the best at stealth/infiltration and also removing all traces of Akatsuki's activity.

In terms of battle prowess, I would say that Nagato/Pain is the one, simply because it seems that he has never been defeated by another Shinobi, something that Tobi/Madara cannot claim.
