Another one of those PETA moments....

Yes we are animals, but we're also the superior race, whether anyone likes it or not... well despite that fact that we have PETA existing in the world... but that's another matter completely.

Animals being in small little cages with barely enough room to move is wrong, they should be given the freedom to move about... seeing as how they'll be our food, might as well treat them well so we'll have delicious meat from them.

Not all vegetarians are animal activists who cry about killing cows and chicken for food, some are only vegetarians because they are on a no meat diet or I know a guy allergic to chicken and is afraid to try meat... but it's the Vegans that sometimes annoy me. I get what they stand for and that's their right... but I hate when they look down on you and think you're some vulgar barbaric inhumane animal -no pun intended- sometimes it just gets on my nerves when they try to convert you.

Other than that though vegetarianism isn't so bad...

Anyways, in general animals shoudl be allowed to have more room to move around seeing as how they'll becomes our food, might as well give them a life worth living, but other than that... I just don't care

Well, let me throw the question back at you. Why should they not?

Btw, retarded OP argumentation.

Animals having rights, and animals being eaten are two different things. Also, what kind of rights are we talking about? Be a bit more specific.

I knew someone was going to say that.

think of it this way; You > Chicken Wing. I mean imo .. yeah, I guess I would "feel bad" if I was slaughtered but.. >_> I'm not a chicken. I will never be a chicken. .. efiowehghh *hard to put in words*.

Yeah, I got that much. It was a sarcastic remark.
But considering how humans, when it comes to objective life, there are really no rules. So its just the same. We just happen to want rules to gain security; and animal lovers just want rules to gain security for their animals. Rules are made for that purpose to begin with, security/peace while giving up some rights. In here, the given-up right is killing.
Animal rights can be comparable to Black slavery. They used to be properties but now they actually have equal rights. That is just in the U.S., though.
You can also compare them to your belongings; you normally do not want others to mess them up.
But yeah, animals just have as much right to life, liberty and property.
Though, this is based on culture and personal opinions.
And for a racist remark that can also be a cultural reference, "I understand your point if you are Chinese."

As cliche as it sounds, do they not DIE when you kill them? do they not need food to survive? do they not mate and have their babies just like any person (whether they lay them or give birth like a mammal, doesn't matter, life is LIFE) Don't humans do all of those?

I'm assuming you're against eating animals, since you never stated otherwise.

Plants do all of those too. Should we not eat them as well?

I am.
That may be true, but does a plant scream in pain when you tear it off the ground?
The irony isn't it? lol I know someone will say it eventually so might as well say it myself XD

I'm more for protecting animals. I know some animals are killed for "our survival" so to say, but cruel, unusal and stupid treatment of animals is what I'm against.

No, but most animals that are slaughtered for food (in slaughter houses at least) don't either, since they are usually knocked unconscious before they are killed, or are killed too quickly to even make a sound.

So killing plants for food is just as wrong as killing animals for food because, like you said, "life is life."

Animals does have the right (but sometimes I can't help but eat some of them : chicken , fish , beef ...) I'm not a monk .
Animals does have feelings , but they can eat us , and we can eat them .

Animals don't even havea free will, then why the hell would we give theù the right to possess or liberty to go where they want?

And how in heaven's name can one compare black slavery to animal rights?

animals should definetly have rights , the way humans torture these poor creatures is horrible
ofcourse you might think that animals dont have a mind of their own but thats an ordinary person with not much insight bout the matter ,animals do have minds and feelings like you and me ,you think because they dont show it the way humans do that dosent mean its not there,so if animals cant defend themselves then carring humans should

Blacks were properties. Just like how animals are. They have free will, if they dont, they would have died out. You are talking about humans's free will, which is totally different when you put it to a free will that is not biased to humans, as in freedom to do what they normally do.
Anyways, Blacks were treated just like animals. They were chattels. The only difference is that they are able to speak up, which of course, even animals can do in a slightly different way: killing humans when humans invade animals' territories.
