If animals weren't meant to be eaten than why did they have to taste so good?

Turkey, fish, chicken and cows were put on this earth for a reason: to be eaten. There's nothing in the Bible that says it's wrong (yes, I said the Bible), but I believe that hunting animals just for fun or sport maybe a little bit cruel.

i know this thread meant animal rights..

not about eating them...

;I don't believe animal cruelty is justified. That's why we have animal welfare laws to deal with abusers. But nothing is more valuable than a human life. Animals eat each other to survive, so why shouldn't humans eat them to ensure our survival? After all, we are at the top of the food chain.

while my argument is lazy and not entirely well justified, heres my general point-- which is that PETA proportioned ideas about animals being likened to humans are absolutely ridiculous.

edit; tbh i think the title is a bit wrong? because i didn't know what i was really trying to talk about but, yeahhh.

ya i agree with that guy humans ARE animals so animals should have rights

i just think that they shouldnt be treated cruelly, killing animals and eating them is neccesary for protein, but they should NOT be killed cruelly, or for no reason.
btw hrhte

lisen, i just picked a random person to share my opinion, but this is how i see it, whether your religious or not,

Rights are either given, or simply dont exists. Either your diety or some humans gave you rights, or they dont exists.

So the whole do animals have rights thing is silly in my opinion. They have as much rights as somebody gives them.
Now im all for respecting nature. Im against pollution, animal cruelty, over hunting, wasting animal lives, ect.

But i dont care for the animal's sake. srry, they r lower on the food chain in nature, and religious wise, they were put here for some reason i forgot... science wise, they cant stop us, ect.

I care for the human's sake. who not pollution, animal cruelty, over hunting, wasting animal lives, ect.? because it hurts the environment we live in and we need it to survive and it takes away food for other humans.Animals keep the environment and other species in check, and they feed us.We need them, so we shouldnt just throw them away.but we shouldnt abuse them either.Animals can also be loyal friends and life savors and help humans do things to enchance our way of life in a healthy way.We dont need to go out on a limb and ban all meat, but we dont need to go around mindlessly killing animals either. This disscussion can also lead to why people waste so much food at those all you can eat buffets in America...dont kill what u cant eat is what i always say.The Native Americans had this all figured out, to bad technology and science blinds us from how simply life really is. peace over war
