I've never been to jail.
I think there is a distant relative of mine in sing sing.... but I never met him.
What amuses me more is that that's the way the one brother went, and the other is working for the government. One of those jobs were you don't get to ask anything about it...
people use intelligence in a variety of ways... >_<

hmm... i dunno if it can be called jail but i spent a night in a temporary detainment cell AKA freight container with holes during last year's dinagyang festival.

imagine being locked in with 30 strange very drunk men peeing in their pants and puking on their shirts in the tropics.

In Manila, Alabang, if a police man caught you jaywalking, he'll locked you up in this portable-like jail in a certain amount of time for the whole public to see.

(this is almost how it looks, except the front jail gate is not divided into 3. That's the only thing that I could find that resembles what I'm describing about).

8 Top Traffic Myths

1.) The officer makes a single mistake on your ticket the case will be dropped
FALSE!
-Clerical Mistakes, like order of persons name or wrong number are usually overlooked by the judge.
-Material Mistakes, like the description of the driver, make of car, and direction of travel usually help the driver win the case.

2.) If the officer doesn’t show up in court you automatically win…
FALSE!
-Nothing is automatic, usually the judge will drop the case if the officer doesn’t show, but sometimes they will just reschedule
3.) Red cars get more tickets
FALSE!
There is no official study that shows red cars get more tickets, it is suggested that they attract more attention an can appear to be going faster than they actually are.
4.) If you get a ticket in another state, your home state won’t find out about it
FALSE!
-States share ticket and license info
5.) You can make up an excuse to get out of a ticket.
FALSE!
-Any excuse you use to explain why you are speeding or violating traffic law is a CONFESSION that you were breaking the law and can be used against you in court.
-If an officer asks you if you know why you got pulled over, always say NO!
6.) A radar detector will ensure that you never get pulled over.
FALSE!
-Radar detectors are a false sense of security that you won’t get pulled over.
-They only detect radars, not cops
7.) You need a lawyer to beat a ticket
FALSE!
-With a little research and time, many first time offenders can often beat their own tickets.
8.) If you don’t sign the ticket it will be dismissed
-Signing a ticket does not mean you are guilty
-If you don’t sign the ticket you are more likely to make the cop angry, and in some states you can get arrested

I've heard about that too. That's why I think they should allow them "toys"
I read somewhere that they were thinking about it, but they were concerned that some of them might turn it into a weapon.

Which doesn't really surprise me. I was watching a show where they were showing how many of them make weapons out of random things like newspaper, toothbrushes, pencils..ect.

The Butt Rape thing is more about a pecking order than sex...just like any form of rape, it's used to control and intimidate.

I've never been to jail. I've been inside a police station to file a police report, but that's about it. Aw heck, lets just throw out all the skeletons at once...I've never even had a speeding ticket. *hangs head in shame*

I think that Canadian laws are way to lax. We need way stiffer fines, especially for repeat offenders. Unfortunately, sentences are going in the opposite direction. The consensus that it's almost worth it to commit a crime, just to get 3 squares a day isn't far off the mark at all.

get outta my thread woman! you are not allowed! ......

....... Not even a speeding ticket? holy SHIT!

I never been in prison or in jail, but I was able to get a ride in the passenger seat of a police car.
The doors in the passenger side can only be open outside. Therefore, if a person got arrested and placed inside the police car, he could do anything he want to pry, budge, or slam the door but he still be unable to escape out of it.

Wouldn't the passenger seat be on child-lock or something like that or would it be built locked only to be opened on the outside/

Revived. I never went to jail. I never want to be in jail. If I'm convicted of something I didn't do and went in there for life, you will see a dead body soon....

Oh, and yes, I know TONS of people who went to jail, but those are mostly the dumbasses who are at my school and used meth. Faced 6 years in prison. How sad.....

I'm just glad that the word 'gaol' was referenced. It is the correct Australian spelling, but whenever I use it, people always say 'What do you mean, he was sent to goal (sic)?" If we really want to be pedantic, we don't say 'gaol' or 'prison', we say 'correctional services', or 'juvenile justice' (for under 18s)

I'm never going to prison. Mostly because I'm planning on never being convicted of crimes.

It's not as bad as it sounds. At least not here.

I've been in prison for murdering over 9,000 innocent people.
