LOL at this plan.
As much as I want to see DBSK and BIG BANG stuff here in the US, instead of ordering through YES ASIA or something, I dont think this is gonna be a way to get that. And I am really assuming that by GLOBAL, they mean the U.S. AND I agree with the person that said that a REAL boy band like DBSK won't be very warmly welcomed here. As much as that sucks. I'm a huge fan of theirs, but I'm gonna say that much.

well whether they realize it or not, Korean music is already being globalized.
of course, when I say this I'm talking about DBSK because they are the ones I
know of so far... their music is heard in Peru and Brazil and it's pretty amazing
because those fans are pretty devoted to learning the language and dance steps

obviously it's not the same making it over in a Latin American country than in the
US.... the US music industry is different and I don't know if they will succeed

hope these singers can make it!!!!

rofl, well they need to bring something NEW to the table. America does not want their prepacked manufactured american imitations.

i mean are they serious? their best boy band dbsk cant even sell 500k and their talking about global expansion... it aint happening especially when NONE of them can actually blow people away with their voices. I cringe whenever i watch SNSD or Wonder Girls... seriously, DREAM ON!

^Which won't happen.

Spending so much money on this? As much as I like korean music, I call this bullshit.

Don't hate me all you kpop lovers, but nowadays in Korea the singers are overrated. Instead of working on their vocals, they focus on their looks to lure in fans..fans fall for their looks and will throw money in their faces whether they can sing or not. Not one of those groups mentioned have a strong vocalist..they will fail for sure.

I think it depends on Boa. SM spent so much money to promote her in the US...if she fails I don't think they will take anymore risk...but if she happens to make it big (which I highly doubt it) I'm sure they will bring the rest over...

Why exactly do they need to be global...? I mean dude, they're already famous as it is, especially DBSK! They're already the greatest stars in all of Asia.. Im a huge fan of DBSK , but do they have to take it that far...
All I'm saying is that I don't want their feelings to get "hurt", because I dont think America is gonna 'warmly' welcome them into the music industry so great...

YA UR RIGHT! MAYBE THEY ARE FAMOUS SOME OF ASIAN COUNTRY BUT NOT ALL! THEY ARE NOT EVEN KNOWN HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES!

LEARNING IN ENGLISH WOULD BE THEIR 1ST AIM! SO THEY WILL BE GLOBALLY CONNECTED!

+1 to this. Don't get me wrong, I like most of them but how is a handful of pop musicians going to succeed against the massive diverse(and slightly more popular) genres featured in the US alone? Also from what I heard from each musician so far, not one speaks english that is understandable. Maybe Alex from Clazziquai can pass but these groups/singers? Unless there is a miracle, I doubt they'll be able to become big. :T
