I'll spend 1 hour to go to the store and get a gun. It's called the "shoot you in the face" technique.

illegal in my country as well as restricted. peace over war

I'm all for peace too. But martial arts is fighting regardless of someone says. Guys don't learn martial arts for beauty, peace, or any artistic reason. They do it because it looks cool and/or they want to be able to fight. I've taken martial arts and self defense classes will be adequate when being attacked by someone. Any further fighting is needed if you want to fight someone. A baseball bat, gun, taser gun, etc will get the job done easily. In my opinion.

what is the point in fighting? we all have brains, that is by far the strongest weapon. i wish you people would use it more

what do u mean by "you people"?

the point of fighting? well it depends on the situation. im a martial artist, so i use it as a form of self defense and self expression.wars also tend to be fought to protect a country or ideals.police use it to enforce law. and we do use our brains to fight. we train techniques that suit our needs and abilities best. thats using our brain. strategy is used to take out our opponents. The brain may be the strongest weapon, but it cant save u from every situtation alone. it has no power.all it has is ideals, but without hands/feet/ect to use those ideas, they become pointless. There is no point in having a cake, but not being able to eat it.peace over war

Peace over War?

The only reason this country even EXISTS is because of war.

When the american colonists fought the british empire, and they ultimately won, creating this country.

check your history books mate canada wasn't fully independent from the uk until 1982, under a peaceful declaration.

spar

sparring is probably one of the most important ways to learn how to effectively apply your martial arts in real life combat. don't just spar with someone that uses your own style. spar with people with other styles too like kung fu, karate, tkd, muay thai, jiu jitsu, etc. the more experience you have, the better prepared you will be if you encounter a situation in real life that requires self defense.

I don't train to fight I train not to fight. I do a lot of volunteer work in some rough parts of town and with some people who can't get scary at times so I have been trained to protect myself but I look at my training more along the lines of stopping someone long enough for me to leave. I don't want to train in order to actually kill someone.... I don't think I would even want to kill a really awful person.
