Don't read this if you don't want to know stuff or don't want any other opinions influencing your own reading/watching experience

So... I went ahead and kinda started putting the puzzle pieces togther...this is taken from the manga, and I may be interpreting things differently from others...

Let me know what you think of what I came up with or how you believe the story may turn out - but make your comments more than one line - a meaningful exchange of ideas would be appreciated
What the author let us know at the beginning of volume 1:
What we know:

What we can assume may happen next:
• Kyoko will not return to Shou because he is selfish and she will never forget how he mistreated her
• Shou may try REALLY REALLY hard to get her back
• Ren will fight his feelings for Kyoko ‘til the bitter end or to the point that he realizes she could be taken away by someone else and he has to suck it up and be a man and admit his feelings
• Kyoko will realize her feelings for Ren for what they really are
• Identities will be revealed
• Ren/Kuon will forgive his parents and seek them out
• Shou will slowly become a better man

My prediction:
• The big finale will be Kyoko and Ren opposite one another in some kind of deep love drama tv series/movie where their true feelings will show
- Ren will be able to show/feel love openly and will be able to be himself as Kuon and leave “Ren”
- Kyoko will be stronger and will know herself and be over her need to please others and will have reached “the top of the acting world” for herself

If you want to know the truth.............. she got her revenge against Sho. But you are not going to like what's happen next. Also, didn't you read the rules? It said no Spoilers/Double Post........ Or something. I don't know........... What ever, she get's her revenge.

By reading the Author's first notes....

I actually think she will end up with Shou. Sparks are flying all over the place when they meet, it's a blaze of both passion and hatred, sometimes you hate the one you love the most. Why does she hate him so much? Because she loved him so much. And if there's something Reino proved, then it was that this kind of character might very well take Kyoko.

Also note that Ren sees Kyoko as some possession in some way as well.

^ A lot of people are gonna get pissed if that happens. As for me, as I'm reading the manga, I'm starting to like Shou a bit. But for now, I still vote for Ren.

so just to get back in the conversation and respond to what's been commented:

- personally I like Ren and Kyoko together... but whether or not they do end up together is up to the author...

- I'm reading the manga, I'm up to chapter 135... as far as I know, that is the most recent chapter released in Japan... or close to it so I think I'm pretty well informed... unless there are even more recent chapters out there somewhere...

- By revenge against Shou - I just mean that she shows him she can kick butt without having to use anyone and mistreat anyone on the way up in the entertainment business... which she is doing because she is actually kind to people

- what I posted as "spoilers"... that is up to whomever chooses to read/comment on the post - the spoilers or in this case what is in the manga (which is widely available online for anyone to read)... well the spoilers are hidden and whether or not you actually click and choose to read is up to you - and if you've read that far in the manga then you should already be aware of those particular facts...

- and, yes I read the rules, and they clearly state "Spoilers are not to be posted on the wall." meaning the little column of comments on the Skip Beat! page withing the Crunchyroll library where everyone can see it and it can't be censored by a SPOILER ALERT and thus can ruin it for someone who isn't informed of the story thus far...

- I suppose that the possibility of Kyoko and Shou could happen. There is a fuzzy line between love and hate and they both vehemently deny having a relationship... but that can always change... and if anyone has read Peach Girl... well that story may not have turned out the way some people wanted... which means that at any time the story can take a turn that many people may not like. Even if this were to happen, I like the story and Kyoko enough to keep reading and find out how it ends.
I also agree with Ren feeling that Kyoko is his - though this may be because he feels that he has seen the real Kyoko (she has shared her feelings when she was younger at the river, and then how she turns to him for help/advice) ... Ren may not want to share Kyoko with anyone because all of those feelings are new and fresh and special to him... he is afraid of losing her because of his past experiences with people he cares about/who are supposed to care for him.
... still I like the Kyoko+Ren version... but as a story is experienced and interpreted differently by each and every reader, there may be other opinions out there and I can't say that I am right or wrong because these are only my views of the story

Kyoko and Ren .. I hope is Kyoko and Ren I don't see Shotaro and Kyoko as he used her for so long when she was mostly devoted and worship him giving herself completely to him and he betraying that trust. She serve him hand and foot payed all his bills on top of that his parents where raising her to be his wife. Other words he had Kyoko for himself completely and he used her and rejected her that is a big emotional scar.

On the other hand Ren was the one who understood and comforted her. He probably never told her he like her as a kid not destroy the feelings she had for Shotaro. Ren protects himself too much from all the girls and Kyoko is the one that is breaking all his barriers and getting to his heart. Ren personally has never been mean to Kyoko is professionally where he attacks her and is teaching her not to use acting for revenge.

I too wonder what Kyoko's reaction will be when she learns about "Corn." She probably won't be upset, more likely she will be shocked and surprised that he wasn't a fairy prince

I like your point about Kyoko breaking the barriers that Ren has put around his heart and how she the one teaching him to care for someone.

I think that returning to Shou would be detrimental for Kyoko. If you're in an abusive relationship whether verbal, physical or emotional... you should get out. Kyoko was used. Shou did not care for her feelings at all and he knew she liked him and worshiped him and yet he kept taking advantage of her. Personally, it would be difficult to trust a person who treated you badly and allow yourself to be in a position where they may do the same thing again. Why would you put yourself in that position again? Why open yourself up to the possibility of being hurt again? How could you trust someone who didn't show that he was capable of taking care of you and was only using your feelings to his advantage?
I think this is the biggest issues that I have with any future relationship that Kyoko could have with Shou... and I think that currently in the manga, the only ones that know about the bad way that Shou treated Kyoko are Kyoko herself, us the readers, Shou and maybe his manager... the rest of the characters don't know the reason that for her dislike of Shou.

I've only read up to volume seventeen, as that is the current volume out and I am stubborn and refuse to read anything online because then I won't want to buy the volumes, and I want to collect the entire series. But I have read most of the spoilers I found and I do have some theories of my own. Tell me what you think:

-Ren and Kyoko will both star opposite other each other in a drama where their characters will be in love.
-In some way, shape or form, Kyoko will find out Ren is Corn.
-Kyoko will feel betrayed by Ren, and run away from him.
-The one to comfort Kyoko will be Sho.
-Sho will confess his true feelings to Kyoko.
-Ren will see this, and make a decision.
-Ren will confess his feelings to Kyoko---I'm still debating whether it will be publicly or in private.
-Kyoko will be torn between who to choose---the guy she's loved since she was a child, or the man who healed her shredded heart and carved his own place in it without her realizing it.
-Kyoko will choose Ren.
-Sho will be hurt, but proclaim he won't give up on Kyoko.
-In the future, it will show Kyoko recieving a Grammy or some other prestigious award for something she starred in, and it will show her family, her husband, Ren, and possibly a child or two.

This is what I think will happen. I have a few more theories of how it could end, but I'll save those for later. ~_^

Omg!!! You guys are amazing. Being able to come to those conclusions of how the story might end. As for my opinion, I would love the manga end up in one or 2 ways that were suggested. I'd love Ren and Kyoko fall for another and end up being together as a happy couple. So far as the story goes, I found myself to acknowledge that Kyoko has an unexplained feelings for Ren. She mixes up her thoughts that she would never end up being in love again after being deceived and losing her trust in a man. However, Kyoko always shows her respect and worries over Ren. For reality, respect is needed in love relationship. Thus, Kyoko tries to deny the possibility that she would fall for Ren by twisting her thoughts of having respect to Ren as a senpai who always supports, protects, and gives any necessary advices to her.

I also have a thought that in the end of the story Kyoko will actually realize her true feelings for Ren and have a clear out with Sho and her relationship. As for now, she might still have a little feelings for Sho (how would you possibly forget completely your feeling that you had cherished since you a child in 1 or 2 days). But later, her thought and mind would be overfull of Ren's image. More and more, she is deep and DEEP in her all emotions about Ren.

If the mangaka is experienced with life (as I absolutely think the mangaka is), he/she would know the fact that once you were taken adventages by someone else, it's getting harder in order to recover your trust, your love, and your respect to that person. If Kyoko would possibly fall for Sho again, this will make the series less far from a masterpiece. But it's up the the mangaka, for I would never ever again read the story because it would totally crush my ideas of what should be right or wrong and how to be a true human.

Well...I'm not trying to upset Sho's fans. I hates him at first but later my hatred toward him becoming less and less since the time he realized how horrible he is after unconsciously losing someone important as Kyoko. But for the fact that he took advantages of her would never change. Humans are never perfect for they are weak. But once you made a mistake, you would have to take a responsibility and having regret is a common thing. Therefore, I would always go to the end with Ren and Kyoko since their relationship from a child up to now is always filled with love(maybe), joy, absolute respect, and of course happiness.

First of all:
Bravo everyone for insightful comments It is really nice to read about the way that others have interpreted the story thus far and their predictions for the future!!

... I also sense that there are others than me who have realized that the mangaka - Yoshiki Nakamura - is really trying to keep things realistic in the sense of "how relationships work" by showing the darker side and also how to get past all that and work on a long lasting relationship.

- I agree with the comment about respect in relationships and how Kyoko worries over Ren - it is funny to see Ren frustrated because he believes she may only be doing it for the Love Me Section or because its her job... I think both of them are in denial because of past experiences with relationships whether they be familial or that of significant other... I know that those who have read that far realize that Kyoko is a caring person and she does care deeply about Ren ... its just that they haven't put those feelings in the open :P

- I like that comment about the award show - Kyoko would be thanking her hubby Ren and their children as well as all those friends she's made along the way while holding an Emmy

...and about purchasing the manga... when it is finally finished, I will be buying all the volumes so that I can have them on my shelf and within reach should I need a REALLY good read and some humor ... I also understand how reading online can be a different experience and how you might rather "feel" the manga in your hands ... but for me, I want to keep up with the story and I don't know if I could wait to read more... especially since in the US it takes them FOREVER to release the next volume... despite the fact that they may have already finished translating, editing and cleaning up the next one... its all about money and building consumer need... marketing is at the root of many things in this world... oh well... at least volume 21 is released in Japan - and chapter 135 is online (it would be in volume 23??)... and I guess based on how far into the story things are that maybe we could be seeing volumes go into the 30s... because lets face it, fans love it, the story is great, the characters are well developed, fans love it, its funny, fans love it... and its addicting So... if it averages about 6 chapters into a volume and if all the chapters currently out in the Hana to Yume would be collected, we'd be at volume 23 and Kyoko is still working her way to the top of the acting world, she doesn't know everything about Ren, their feelings are still developing, her relationship with Shou is still unresolved (and by this I mean she is still angry with him and could eventually come to an understanding with him and forgive him...but not trust him ) ... sooo... we could probably get to at least volume 35.. and remember, the mangaka did say she was hoping to make a long running series...

...anyways, keep the theories and opinions coming, its very interesting and fun to read them all and see how people are forming their thoughts based on their understanding of the story thus far :D

I used to listen to love line on the radio, and one thing that I always thought was crazy was how, in real life, an abused person will so often go back to the abuser. It probably won't happen in this case, since kyoko is so strong spirited, but again, in real life, abused people often are convinced that they are unworthy of love, and that the only person capable of loving them is the abuser.

Lol how Shou is turning into an abuser.... this isn't an abuse case, if you marked this as one, then you have to mark EVERY breakup as an abuse lol, and the thought is a little too hilarious. =P

But to go around some paradoxes and problems with both sides, there are actually more contestants but we just take the two prime ones.

Two sides here, one is deeming himself unworthy/no time/impossible as to be getting the love he seek, in other words he shells his feelings and become a shallow guy in general.

The other is one whose a villain that realises all his misdoings and try to go back and fix it (Ms. jackson style) But he'll probably along the way realize the hardship he was to travel through and show some conviction.

Now to Ren and his way with Kyoko, since i have really really good experience with this particular one i can only see one true solution and that's staying friends because the other one is way way too risky, and The Author seems to have good experience with it as well, since Ren thinks of all the problems that might occur and trully it is so, 1 way for making it go right but 99 ways of it ending in a disaster that's not the odds you want with one you see as important.
And even if they got together, jealousy might be everyday thing for them, since they can't be in the same movie everytime, and as seen in the scene where Ren plays the hero in Dark Moon, whose with the girl he love in that series, Kyoko gets an edgy feeling after seeing Ren like that, even though she knew it was acting she still was a little down. And there wasn't even any kissing or body contact in that scene... This is obviously also just common thing, it's what every actor couples prolly have to deal with but it's also often how those kind of couples end up separated.

The Shou thing is just way too complicated, it's frustration on both sides, he will prolly have to cut off an arm to prove she's the only one, where she still would linger doubt even after that deed. He would be under constant pressure, afraid of making a mistake or misunderstanding, he couldn't actually be his own "fun self", she would have heavy thoughts of where he was going, and the same way around. Cheaters are always those who come to quick conclusion the other one is cheating as well, since they know the deeds themselves.

The more i think about it, the more Kyoko should just end up with the guy from Bridge Rock, he's the nice guy.
