Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

chicken.....think about it O.o a chicken needs to be there to lay the egg, right? a random animal cant just lay an egg that randomly turns into a chicken and not its own kind

its called " evolution "

now if you look at " evolution " there are 3 possibilities, and types

egg: another organism ( bird of course ) laid an egg that suddenly was a chicken
egg2: 2 different birds somehow crossbreeded and the egg was the chicken that we know today ( which is pretty mmuch impossible )

monkeys are mammals. we evolved, but without an egg. so the chicken does sound more reasonable
