It is not as simple as the question suggests, but the answer is the Chicken. Evolution occurs over vast stretches of time in a very gradual gradient, so it is difficult to say that at point "X", this almost-Chicken species laid an egg which will develop into what can now be called a Chicken.
Of course, if your train of thought begins at the very beginnings of life about 3.6 billion years ago, then the answer would be the egg.

Egg - Hey lizards and fish lay eggs too
But if it's chicken or chicken egg first.... It may be the chicken because there has to be a mother or something to protect the egg or it will not survive and the animal has to exist first to procreate. But it's almost like asking where humans come from. This discussion will never end.

Egg. Birds evolved from dinosaurs, so naturally the evolving dinosaur laid an egg, produced a more evolved dinosaur that laid an egg, etc...until a chicken came out.
