Yeah well I think 'surpass' is the wrong word to use.
>_> As if we already understand the brain and intelligence completely....don't think so.

Interesting article I read recently, which compares the latest super-computer to the human brain, talks about the power of networking, etc:

its has not so much to do with AI,but i find the robocup pretty interesting, since the chances are not so small, that i will still be alive, when the final match takes place.

Anyways on topic, this new future industry will probably bring out another big debate on morals, and other philosophical tidbits. I mean whats the difference between a human and a robot with artificial intelligence?

letting some computer program to rule my life or some what like it? I don't think so...I like being selfish humans...that way I know I can still think for myself, know how I feel, and mostly I like be naturally made by my parents....ya know what I mean...

I think it would be a terrible idea. Human contact and communication would suffer. Some people would be overdependent on their AI companions. We all just want it since it's convenient, cool, and it would be amazing. Yet, it isn't something we should be doing since our world is already socially screwed up as it is. To keep developing society and ourselves, we can't be replacing people with AI. I honestly think it's been bad enough that we have too much dependence on computers, internet, and video games. Yes, there is more information going around. But the social state of youth appears worse than it was a few generations ago.

A Japanese inventor created a life- size robotic replica of himself. He brought to one of those late night talk shows can't remember which one or when
