umm... I'll do touch ups here and now so the basics of wanting to download a anime file off a irc from a fansubber.

I'll get some ss later but for now make do with words

either get chatzilla or mirc *go with mirc works better with dcc but isn't as easy with chatzilla* so your choice er... google for download. *I'll give a link later*

First and for most irc is about commands always start with " / " if you want to do anything if you want to chat you can leave the / off

Now different fansubbers *even if you are on another irc channel* they have servers different servers contain different irc channels. Most fansubbers use RIZON and w/e their #of channel is

so if I where to make a my own channel on a rizon server and I have a #channel of Anime I'd say

#AnimeKami@rizon.net AnimeKami is the number and rizon is the server so

#xchannel@xserver.net

so that is the basics I guess don't know to to simplify it anymore.

Alright getting started say chatzilla is what you are using and you would like to go to

#chihiro@rizon.net

first you would type /server this will allow you to pick a server and join :

/server irc.rizon.net
*wait for it to connect (default would give a ding) you know you have connected*

so now joining a channel always start now with /join this will allow you to join what ever channel you desire within that server

/join #chihiro *again a (ding) for connection*

now you have joined that channel and is exposed to the mods powers *don't be a dumbass in certain irc groups they'll own you* just a fyi

next is triggers: triggers are things you type to find what you want on the channel you'll see banner type thing which shows what and what can't you do or just the headlines really. again chihiro triggers are * @find !list !loli etc...

so downloading the file. the files are known as packets and usually from bots.

what you do is type

/msg botname xdcc send #pack

^^^ that is the case for any channel

so chihiro has a bot named sakura >.> and pack #1 for to love ru say

If I want to love ru anime I'd type

/msg sakura xdcc send #1 enter and you pick path for chatzilla, mirc is default so kinda watch out for that.

now wait till it is done and you'll have anime.

So to sum it up it is
/server
/join
find the packet number and what bot it is on
/msg botname xdcc send #packet
and you'll have started the download

easy? yes quite
